It sounds like your timing is a bit off. There isn’t a lot of room for error when safe jumping, but its fairly easy to do with practice. When you use your safe jump, the game will automatically decide what’s the best option for Gouken, you just need to put him in proper position. When you are landing he will either hit the opponent or he will land and block depending on what the opponent does.
As far as bison’s PC, only Bisons EX PC is good on wake up, but os EX Tatsu beats that, or you can just land and block it per safe jump. If you are getting hit by it you are definitely too late.
Happens to be the main reason why Bullcat is my favorite Gouken player to learn from (obviously no offense to the many Gouken players WAY above my skill level :china:).
He’s amazing at utilizing the essentials and controlling matches with them. I only ***wish ***I was as consistent of a player as he is.
looks like the ibuki player doesn’t know how to handle gouken’s properly. You were just smacking her around ha
it’s also kinda funny how demon flip grabs seem to work more often on high level players. i guess since they won’t mash dp it becomes a whole lot easier to handle them.
i have a shit load of replays built up, think i’m just going to make a compilation of awesome moments, comebacks etc… the other day i kongo’d blanka’s ultra 1 fadc shin shoy, i had a little pump fist sure
think i should do this or you guys wana sit through whole matches?
edit:just found a match online, got battered and cracked… so many stupid mistakes in there which is anoying but the first few rounds arn’t too bad
Yea you ex demonflipped at some really strange times man, can’t really mount any kind of offense just doing it naked unless you’re predicting a fireball or something. I would say make a compilation of good moments I guess.
I couldnt be bothered to make a compilation, couple of blanka matches (find him the hardest match up and I’m sure others do the more vids against blank the better I think)

A good dhalsim match, the end made me laugh more than anything, epic fight though

And some comebacks, and a nice example of rushdown with gouken
I have the habit of EX flipping when I don’t need to as well. I look at old videos and I see when I used EX Flip or EX Hado at the wrong time and I just want to slap myself for it. Good meter management is needed for Gouken for sure.
Nice pressure on Rog, and good use of the hard knock downs to control the pace and set up Goukens GF ish.
