Great combo, but those that have played against Gouken WILL punish the demon flip air grab. I’ve attempted this before and it can work against people (esp the reset variant), but it won’t land against those that know Gouken’s tricks (enough in G1).
After EX-Hadou, could you do any Tatsu, or is the opponent too low by then?
Vash, I find that after backthrow - st fp XX flip that people with srks will all too willingly srk you, so what I started doing was hk.flip so that I sail over their heads and land behind them with dive kick while srk whiffs and I punish them in recovery. I mix it up between hk flip and mk.flip.

You can use a tatsu after the fireballs, but then you won’t stun them.
FK? Forward Kick? I thought you were already talking about medium kick the whole time until this sentence.

Hard kick/Round House will sail over their head and land you behind them if you dive kick. They on the other hand whiff completely and are stuck in recovery.
I haven’t played champ mode in forever, and I got to G1 maining Seth (actually didn’t even pick up Gouken till recently so I am terrible due to lack of knowledge for some matchups) but last night I used Gouken in G1 and this worked pretty well, especially after having used the throw off of medium kick flip and the sweep off the same. The hard kick/Roundhouse one also works well for people that start jumping backwards.
I gotta bump the thread for this. Love the ending to an already owned Sagat. Great counter Ultra there.
