Well they did say all but not perse what way. Could be hitbox on a lot of them and frames on sum. TBH I’m already exstatic of what we have, now just to wait till I can use them too I’ve been using Tatsu a lot lately and everytime they fall out of EX or it runs into Super Armour I get a smile on my face, not long, those will never be a problem again later
It sounds like if you link with MP to HP, then you don’t get all options with the EX pain train. Will LP palm or hadoken work with that linkfest? I’m betting if you went c.LP, c.HP -> EX pain train probably will connect for full effect.
Uhm wont that damage scale alot cl. mp, cl. hp -> ex palm fadc jp. mp air tatsu
Wont cl. mp, cl. hp->hadou->fadc->lp-> lp palm be better or i have it the other way around???
No report on that at the moment from Japanese SSFIV BBS. The latest report is low kongo of Chun Li cr Hard Kick…
Anyway most Japanese are sleeping now, so i dont think anything more come in for the next few hours…
^ I am reading closely and he said he got countered out of it. When some one says they got countered out of of something, instead of counter hit out of something normally think of Kongo when it’s involving Gouken.
@Street11 - Was the counter you were referring to for counter hit or kongo?
You are more than likely correct, but with all of these changes I don’t want to assume anything.
I was wondering if any experienced Gouken players here could chime in on whether or not we might see more denjin usage despite the fact that his ultras remain unchanged. For instance, if scaling reduces the shinsho’s comeback factor, that combined with more combo opportunities could make the denjin a more attractive choice. Thoughts?
Unless some radical changes happened to Denjin, I doubt more will use it. Denjin can’t be used on reaction, the damage (without charging) is pretty poor and any form of scaling would be horrid against that already low damage ultra. I’d use Denjin if its damage was larger without charging and only charging will make it unblockable like Ryu from 3S.
The only thing Denjin had going for it (ihmo) is being able to land after a single EX meter.
In theory, but Denjin really is not that attractive due to the damage potential being dramatically lower. A dizzy doesn’t earn you huge amount of damage due to damage scaling. Plus Gouken is not exactly fast enough to prevent run away character from running while they recover their stun meter. Against equally skilled opponent, I would say it is better to get the damage first then getting potentially slightly more later.

Depends on how you play and the match up. st. mp > cr. roundhouse > Denjin their wake up is going to be huge with his new ability to rush you down better and thus stun the opponent.
Unteching people and blasting their wake up with Denjin is a beautiful thing if they don’t have way to evade it. That chip damage is beast and can close many matches out.
If there are a few more ways to land un-techs Denjin will be a very solid option in certain match ups.
hmm, i use the jab palm more than any other right now.
i wonder if they kept mp palm and hp palm the same or altered them as well.
if we have to lose one of the palms, i would prefer to lose the hp version.
Naw man, they’ll be too busy with Yun(thanks to Daigo and as Karin is not in I’ll also be giving Yun a trial run now and then) and Yang(thanks to Justin).
