Time to set the record straight. I infiltrated the secret channel the mods have on this website to find out what happened. Apparently Skisonic has been working closely with some of the eSports “higher ups” about getting himself a job commentating on games on a league that’s gonna open next year. Gootecks was trying to get in there as well but there had been beef between them since Ski took out Gootecks in a CFJ money match.
So Skisonic spread a rumor that Gootecks had been using performance-enchancing drugs when he beat Justin in the early days of SF4. Because they wanted to avoid the scandal, Complexity decided to drop Gootecks. To avoid creating major drama, Gootecks was supposed to play it out like it was some FGC. In truth some of the powers that be wanted to take him out so they could have less competition for their live shows as well as blocking west coast from getting eSports money.
So there you go. Gonna get banned now.
I saw some mentions of LI Joe. What does he have to do with any of this?

Whenever drama’s been happening lately, LI Joe streams himself calling around trying to get the details on whatever the issue is. Some people call it a plea for attention, or that he’s generating money off this, but whatever the case may be he helps a lot. Hopefully he’ll stream later tonight and figure out what’s really going down with Gootecks. :wonder:
Joe is the FGC private eye, he digs deep. Brazzers deep. We want him to venture into Gootecks’ dreams and plant the idea of coming back to the FGC and telling us why he “left” in the 1st place.

As a high profile tourny organiser and video content provider he then gets screwed/passed over for the MLG gig in favor of Arturo aaaAAAAaa Sanchez who he actively dislikes.

I may be able to offer an explanation on the FR “High” thing. Thursday night, before the event started, I was hanging out with a few well-known players and community figures when Mike Ross and Gootecks showed up. I thanked him for his help and his generous donation during the fund raiser that SRK graciously threw for me a few months ago when I had gone blind in one eye and was dealing with considerable pain, and the two sat down with us and chatted with everyone for a few hours. Around 4 AM or 5 AM he mentioned going to a money match room, which is when we parted ways (I needed sleep, which I ironically didn’t get because I left my pain meds at home). I saw him a few hours later Friday, which also implies that he didn’t get much sleep at all.
So there you go. First-hand knowledge that he was just incredibly tired that day, and if he was like me, was likely seriously exhausted.
People think Ski is involved because of Marn.
I wonder how elaborate these rumors will get.
