Gootecks is cool. Nice interview. Love what he’s done for the scene, but I’m more about building a better Fighting Game scene over building a better Street Fighter 4 scene. To say “… but who cares about King of Fighters” is kinda going against my wishes but whatever, he’s Gootecks. I guess I’ll have to be the King of Fighters XII’s major fanboy :lol:

Going 1-2 at big tournaments is being a top player, guys, so go get peaced out early and make a name for yourself. Cool that he promotes SF4 for dudes who aren’t good at anything important to be able to make a living or be in the limelight, but that doesn’t mean he won’t get reamed and turned into a joke for all the audacious shit he says once the cameras turn off.

i respect his skills and his dedication and i’ve seen him on devastation 2009 vids with dj wheat. gootecks seem like a nice guy, but i didn’t like how he complain and whined about the bracketing at devastation 09.

Not that I don’t respect him. But, when someone shows disrepect to something they choose not to familiarize themselves, to me, is disrespectful. Give reason to why you “don’t care about” something. And yes, I have played both KoF XII and BlazBlue. When I get those two, my SF time will be cut drastically.
Just saw him getting interviewed after the I Got Next premiere.
He basically said that he doesn’t really mind other fighting games. He just likes to make fun of other fighting games because Street Fighter is all he knows how to play.
