I’ve been trying out C.Viper like I said I was. Right now I actually playing better with her as my second character than Wesker. Meter hasn’t been that much of a problem as I thought it will be. Since I don’t use my meter and hope for something to hit unless its in a combo, Round Harvest or if its Doom by himself who is easily my second best or best character so far. I understand his character really well now. With Trish first, I can safely tag in C.Viper safely after Round Harvest. Trish’s trap assists helps with the seismo lockdown and Doom’s assists are awesome. C.Viper’s overhead assist is really sweet as well. Works well with the team.
I’m still deciding on with Doom assist should be the primary one on the team. Right now I’m using molecular shield. And whatever or not to burn lvl.1 X-Factor with C.Viper since with one meter(and maybe 1/2 of another one) she can practically kill most the cast in one combo. Which I tend to do against characters with great beams. Taking out Ryu in one combo was ticking my friend off lol.
I’ve been thinking replacing Wolverine on my team for Viper to give my trish another element with her Seismo assist. Right now I’m running Trish Peek/ Wolverine Tornado/ Iron Man unibeam.
I been using wesker/trish/magneto still working out stuff with them… but i have to say this team is very annoying especially trishes keepaway. and how versatile she is. she works wonder for wesker on point/trish xD
I find it amazing most of us use Wesker and Trish together… I put wesker on point, Akuma as second and Trish as third. I still don’t have the game so i arbitrarily picked this team to get the hang of the game. Seems okay, so far, but I want to be able to put my assists to work to get wesker get in and extend his combo after OTG Samurai Edge. Haven’t been able to pull it of yet, because i forget to call for assist before pulling out the gun.
I’ve been playing STD (Sent/Trish/Dorm) for a few days now and I can safely say that they mesh really well together, great DHCs, great characters by themselves, anti-air and ground is covered by spit/pillar, great keepaway game with all three, flows pretttty nice.
Ehh, I wouldn’t say great at the moment…but it is a lot fo fun to play, so I’ll keep at it. Phoenix is a bitch for my team in particular though. Word of wisdom… Don’t bother with Ryu, just pick Akuma, he’s better in nearly every way.
I’ve been playing Trish Storm Akuma and have had a blast. However I’ve had a few strategic issues and wondered what you guys thought:
-I seriously love Trish, and feel quite strong with her. And as much as I feel like she should make a great battery, I also feel like she’s way more threatening with extra meter to burn on Max Voltages. Cant decide if I’m just being impatient, or if she makes more sense in the 2-spot. but if so, seems like Storm makes more sense there for hail storms.
-I’ve been a fan of Akuma Tatsu assist for a while and love what it offers. but I also can’t help but wonder if Trish might thrive even more with a different enabler assist. Chun legs and Dante Weasel Shot in particular feel potentially strong, any other good ones to help pin them down for Trish pressure?
I’d really like to keep playing a Trish-Storm team as I feel strongest with those 2 by far. But Im having trouble thinking of a good 3rd aside Akuma as an enabler. Maybe I could just figure if it aint broke dont fix it and stick w/ Akuma? Hmm
I’d choose a 3rd character that isn’t so meter hungry (Akuma is a TON more threatening when he has meter to burn). Trish and Storm already make very good use of meter, as you’ve noted. I’d take a third character that can survive without meter such as Chris (gun assist), Chun (legs assist), Haggar (lariat assist + instant overhead w/ Trish or Storm), or instead use Morrigan / Ammy meter assists to ensure that your Trish and Storm can constantly be at their best by using all of that meter.
Definitely food for thought here. Which is the Haggar instant overhead you’re refering to? Just a quick jumping pipe? or something more “instant” I’m not thinking of?
I like the Donkey Kick and ability to point the Shinkuu Upwards. Reason why I’d even bring him up is because I haven’t found a great way for the akuma to follow up to some Wesker combos (aside from tatsu assist to samurai edge OTG)… Because after a combo with Wesker, wth am I going to end with? I can end the 2nd air combo with Phantom Dance, but wth can I DHC to with akuma? with Ryu I can point up the shinkuu…
Whatever, I’m stil gonig to give them both a try… I inevitably play for fun.
Well guys, I will have to share my team, it would be trish, sentinel and wesker, I have read and saw diferent teams and ones similar or equal to mine, but there is one thing I wanna share with you guys, trish and sentinel can get well each other when it comes to assistances, the proyectile type of trish and the proyectile (^) type of sentinel including the (v) shot assitance of wesker makes this team solid, you can do an instant overhead with trish super (boomerang and wesker help) and you can cover trish with sentinel’s body when it comes to hidden missiles from the opponent.
Trish/Dante,Sentinel works. Trish/Dormammu/Sentinel works. I start off with Trish on point and just play keep away. I use to play aggressive with Trish, but now I play Keep away with her and it seems to work against magneto because he his trouble pressuring Trish. First thing that I like to do is before the match starts, I backup then when I am able to super jump I super jump and throw a hopscotch right away. If you when to you can also throw a peekboo up there, then when you land or something you can call off sentinel. It’s so hard to explain, but it works for me. And her combos are just amazing. I do have another combo to show you guys with Trish. I use it, but it only works in the corner.
Finally someone that likes Ryu so i’m not the only one. I would use Akuma but I don’t like how his tatsu works I like the fact that Ryu’s always makes him go forward. The one thing I hate about Ryu is the fact that he has such a tough time vs beams/keep away characters without meter.
Also, What is the reason why most of you guys put Trish last on your team? I just don’t get it it seems like she should be used first or second to chip and run because she doesn’t seem to have many mixups to rely on.
after I have been beating so many times with magneto storm wesker or akuma dante doom from my dear friend J.D, I have come to a cconclution to not to start with trish unless you know you have a free chance to rush them down, put her second, I start with sentinel against this teams, and trish second, wesker at the end to punish them with level 3 and x-factor, I learn today that trish is not THAT good as first, I prefer to get her in second when in dificult times =)
Round Harvest safely gets X-23 or Skrull in, sets up Silent Kill, and sets up Skrull j.2H+ankle slicer unblockable. Tenderizer holds incoming char for Silent Kill. Low Voltage covers X-23 advance and Skrull meteor smash. All 3 are good anchors. Ankle slicer and Tenderizer help Trish’s damage output. Ankle slicer helps stone smite combos.
I’ve been running Trish/Viper/Magneto for a while. Magneto’s beam assist does wonders for Trish and her keepaway, but I’m not sure which of Viper’s to use. Seismo is the knee-jerk choice because it can OTG, but I can’t help thinking there’s fun to be had combining Viper’s burning kick (long range high attack) with Trish’s long range low normals.
Been trying Trish on point with Pikaboo, then using Dorm(D. Hole) and Hsien(Pendulum) OR Mag(EMD) OR Tron(B. Boulder)…
I mostly end up w/ Trish/Dorm/Hsien OR Mag/Dorm/Tron(G. Fire)
