Barely. Store updated mad late. Was going to just hold out until today but saw nigs on my friendslist that had no business playing SEX demo, I mean SSX, on it. So I caved. After dl and install it was 1:30a. So just did tutorial and that first race a few times.
New controls take some getting used to but they make sense. Classic scheme being in was a nice touch but I may just try to learn the new standard layout. Everything looks real smooth and fluid. This was my biggest worry. Good sense of speed too, somewhere in between SSX3 and OT. Can’t speak on it much cuz I swear I only ran 20mins but it transistions nicely.
Also, I think I’m going to love that global hub online stuff. Looks so sick and well crafted. Even in the demo it tells which of my friends broke what records, how many minutes ago, suggests friends of friends, etc. and constantly and frequently updates. Seriously, I love this interface. But that’s all I can say. Ill try to play more tonight, gf willing.

So, been watching Cross over. Normally Maximillian is kind of annoying and cheesy, but these videos are pretty good. This game is going to be way better and deeper than people are giving it credit for. Not only are the combos going to be much, much more than just chaining, but stuff like super charging and super charge cancels are going to make the game very interesting.

Yeah man I am in the same boat on the control scheme. I like that classic mode was included, but, and especially with a 360 controller, the new scheme seems to be a better fit. It seems that they built the game around that scheme and also with the tutorials and in game hints not changing if you switch to classic it just makes more sense.
I’m with you though man. I am rusty as hell, but I have spurts where old muscle memory comes back and I hit some sick sequences, but then I fuck up a grind and lose the combo, lol. Muscle memory, nostalgia, and all of that is coming back. This game is too good.

Cause capcom is not good about marketing, just like with marvel they showed the game as this chain combo kindergarten experience and right when you see people have an idea of what they are doing in the game, like the maximilian or crackfiend videos, you see the game actually had depth and looks awesome. In my defense though I always thought it looked awesome.
