seriously, when I heard Sanford won evo I felt like I won myself. I know how it feels to get dicked out of winning and choking so I must say congrats.people wonder why top players say they quit but keep coming back. They dont understand these players feel they are capable of doing a lot more, but things happen.
I'm sure if you were SO close from making top 8, lost because of a joystick problem, cheated from taking first place, wouldnt you want to quit too? its these close but no cigar situations that consistanly haunts us but keeps us coming back for more. Dreaming can only get us so far before we want to prove it to ourselves.

I have to say that alongside with the SF4 finals, the Marvel 2 finals were the best thing at EVO this year hands down!! I mean, talk about overdue…
I’ve been telling Sanford for YEAARS that he needs to win the Marvel tittle @EVO so he can rightfully take his place as the MC2 champ! He came close a couple years ago, but got randomed out which created the whole Duc/Sanford MM (That was absolutely EPIC!) but had never really faced off against Justin Wong (GOD).
Well even though I witnessed the first time Sanford beat Justin in a tourney finals at some random tourney at the break, it was never really set in stone. That’s why a couple weeks ago when we were at the tourney in CF where Sanford won sf4 I was telling him… MAAAAAANnnnn, fuck sf4… you need to get your Marvel tittle!! :'D He shrugged it off and said Marvel wasn’t worth it, it was all about sf4. I said I know still get your sf4 swag, but you HAAAVE to win Marvel at EVO this year! no excuses!! He said we’ll see… and that was that… won sf4 that night so I figured he didn’t really care about mc2 and Justin would remain as GOD… but in these recession times President Santhrax Kelly said YES WE CAN and brought the greatest Marvel vs Capcom 2 finals of all time! :nunchuck:

I agree with some of what you are saying however I believe he rightfully won the title in 05 at (ECCX) and Especially in 07 (EVO EAST) winning 2 sets in the GF (Thrax vs Thrax) when Justin still cared about the game and Marvel was at its peak .
Finally, I remember talking about this at ecc8, amazing defense imo.
