Taking nothing away from Sanford skills, but I don’t know if he is good enough to take out Dan if he knew the match up. But, coming to America they (Daigo and Dan) should have studied it. That’s why i was impress with JWong not going witha console character. Beating Daigo with a console character is like Barry Bonds home run record…asterik**
Yeah because they’re so poor, they can’t possibly buy the game and actually practice the matchup like the rest of the world. In fact I heard they don’t even have consoles in Japan.
It’s all arcade machines, they even have portable arcade machines they put in their pockets. When they go home, they wake up in the morning, roll out of bed and practice on their arcade machines.
Some of them have the money to import American consoles, and if they’re lucky they might be able to buy the game off Ebay or something for these rare imports from the USA but when they do then they can learn the matchups and possibly beat a low tier character like Cammy.
Come on now, for fucks sake. There’s no excuse for it. Sanford crushed him, and it’s his fault for not going to Play-America.com and getting that super rare SF4 Console Edition.

Wow, you don’t read all the post. I did wrote that they should have learn the match-up. Fact is Dan lost. I’m not going to make a youtube video with Dan standing next to me and me explaining why he lost. He didn’t have the confidence in his Akuma eventhough his Akuma took him to top 8. Also, i’m not the only one thinking it, it’s a legitimate argument. Heck, even Seth had to mention dan doesn’t know how to play console characters after Dan’s lost. Did Sanford won because he exploited the meta game or did he won because he was the more skilled player?
Here’s is another question would you rather have seen his Akuma vs Dan’s ryu or Cammy vs ryu? I know I would have prefer the first choice.
Regardless of the answer to these questions, I fail to see a difference between them.

I’m not saying Daigo and Dan don’t put in time. They clearly do and it pays off, but it’s their own fault for not knowing the console characters. That’s there choice.

NONE OF YOU GUYS EVEN KNOW THE HALF OF IT. Most of you say hard work pays off with sanford, but with marvel he didn’t even practice at all. The day before sanford was in our room beefing hard with fanatiq and he told us he QUIT MARVEL.
SANFORD SAID HE DIDN’T PLAY IN 5 MONTHS. So we got him to play to warm him up. Everyone in the room knew he had the best cable in the world so we told him to use it in the tournament. Since Sanford never won EVO, but won like every other tournament we convinced his ass to use cable against wong. We all knew he was going to win.
GLAD I WAS A PART OF IT. ALSO THE beef was about magneto of course and a fight almost broke out.

yea i was in that room and back up everything. After the first few matches with Flapp at like 5 in the morning,Sanford said " Im in crack mode, im starting to get it back". The power of mahvel crack gets rid of 5 months of rust
