I’m almost certain I did the J.MP’s after almost every Super where I could.
And yeah, I’m trying to learn the insanity that Giga does.
Those 2 things work incredibly well in conjunction with each other. If you land a super and get the j.MP x2 after it, usually your opponent will be in the corner, with you at perfect distance for the corner crossup scissors/crusher trick. Once you memorize what works on who and in what corner, cross them up on the wakeup and land a st.LK x2, cr.MK xx fierce crusher combo from the other side before they figure out whats happening. Its a devastating setup from a super, and really satisfying to pull off.

Fatboy: Any pointers on the slide crossup? It’s something i’m trying to incorporate into my game but i’m finding it really tricky timing wise. Anything i need to watch out for…positioning, particular opponents, etc.

Mad Possum - Honda
I’ve been playing Honda myself lately but wanted to avoid a mirror match so I went Cammy. I came really bloody close to winning at various points, so I’m happy I at least got that far.
Mr Jangara - Cammy
I finally got my wish of playing with him. We had a mirror match and I was able to take 1/2 rounds out of 3 matches, and was able to at least duke it out for long periods. His playstyle is unique, though. I don’t know how to describe but he seems to be the “slowest” Cammy ever. This is not an insult at all, as I’ve nothing but praise for him. He doesn’t seem as “all-or-nothing” as myself and other Cammy’s.
slowest cammy ever? i guess thats how he plays the mirror match. i can tell you that when he plays me(ryu), slow is the last thing i would call it. im glad you got to play him. did he do his tick throw test to you at the beginning of the match??? whenever i get into a room with him and a new player comes…he tick throws the entire match, probably to weed out beginners, “scrubs” and what have you. once you reverse out of it, etc…he plays for real.
Ya, GGs to you and Mr.Jangara this morning. I almost felt embarressed using Honda in what ended up being an otherwise all-Cammy room, LOL. You both made me work pretty hard for the wins, Jangara got me once. Not bad for such a hard match-up for Cammy. You missed it, though, it was me and a bunch of good Japanese players in the room before you came in, good players that played with different styles. Fun stuff. I wanted to try out some of my variations of Megaman’s HHS combos I stole (LOL) but didn’t get the chance!

I find myself getting more comofrtable with the Cammy-Honda matchup. My new fear is Blanka nowadays, though I just found out that jumping medium punch can stuff his horizontals. Gonna try that against some great Blanks (BlueTallCans, I’m looking at you).

thanks for the mention Quaristice, you too are an extremly good player. Last sunday I was in a power house of a player room with marsgatti, diceman, traveling penguin,markyboy, oh my god and herbaholic, all very strong players.
I also have to give a shoutout to chagatai…a master honda player whose advice helped me a great deal with my guile v honda game.
I also played traveling penguin again last night, he’s a strong player but it got a little bit heated as we both became a bit too competative but I still repect his all round skill.
Just want to second this.Chagatai’s honda is pure quality, one of the very best online, top 4 or 5 hondas on XBL IMO.He’s a master of the stored ochio, i learn a lot every time i’m playing against him with my dictator.:tup:
yeah we have some good games irrepressible, always a good learning experience. I played markyboy last night with his friend vader00 who were both excellent ken players. The skill in the room was strong and I had to work hard for my wins. Also got schooled by jiggly norris’s bison, think he wanted revenge after i beat his dhalsim with my chun, it was a very close match! lol all great fun though. I really need to practice against Dictator and get to grips with the playing style.
Also i have been invited to this tournament for hd remix on sunday? planet rv sent me the invite just need to get a team together. Should be a good competition.
vader00’s ken/ryu is excellent. markyboy is developing a very effective anti guile strategy with his ken we’ve been having intensly stategic games lately. Almost forgot to mention RocketBalboa & U NO HURT ME, excellent kens/ryus who can reverse anything with a dp.
There are alot of high quality UK players around now, so its good when they’re all in one room so there are no lag issues. Win, lose or draw you always learn something.
Thanks for the props folks - Irrepressible’s Guile is very nasty - very patient, with an active zone. Of course KJ’s Sagat deserves mention as does DGV. Guys hate his mouth, but Dekor is a top-class Bison, as is zaspacer who also boasts a strong Guile game.

I meant to post this earlier in the week. Planet RV (who’s not on SRK yet) has asked me to spread the word that he’s set up a second XBL account dedicated soley to HD remix, to keep a list of all the best HDR players in Europe in for people to send friend requests to.
Send a friend request to “SF2HDR EU” and check out the friends list on it when he accepts you. He checks the account regularly so he’ll accept your FR pretty quickly. The list has got loads of great players both from SRK and elsewhere listed on there already for you to send your own friend request to, and hopefully we can get some more quality rooms happening in the already good EU HDR online scene.
