Okay here’s my issue,
Right now im playing Wesker/Spencer/Taskmaster.
The thing is that with the people that im playing (and online) got pretty nice blocking ( normal approach is not an option anymore)
So i think that i’m in need of some kind of lockdown assist.
What do you guyz think about running Wesker/Spencer/Dormammu ?
I really like the wesk and spencer team (lots of resets and mixups )
So will this be a viable team? i mean i don’t have beam assist but, if i start a combo and its blocked y can call dormm during the blockstring and try to break the guard.
That works, but Dormammu gets outclassed as an anchor by all of the game’s top anchors, and his assist won’t help your team with zoners. I imagine you used Aim Master L before to get you in - how will you get in now?
Yes i used Horizontal Arrows. Now Im approaching without assists expecting a block, then trying to call Dormm lock him and find a mixup.
Any Recommendation?
The thing is that i enjoy playing with spencer, and mayyybe my best bet is Sentinel, but I promised to myself not use sentinel LOL ? what you think?
Horizontal assists in general put your opponent on the defense; I think you’ll find that everything changes without Aim Master L, and getting that initial offense started will be much more difficult.
my team is spencer(forward grapple) haggar(lariat) dorm(dark hole).
it has a surprisingly good dhc in its starting order (bionic lancer, body press, (pause) chaotic flame)
the forward grapple from spencer allows for a midscreen relaunch with flame carpet (as well as corner) as well as general shenanigans and the lariat is a great defense that goes into a jump loop combo. the only thing i feel this team is missing is a nice cross up tool to play with teleports.
dark hole assists works well for lock down to grab mixups with both spencer and haggar as well as a crossup tool with spencer (but it does nerf the hell out of damage but hey, damage is damage) considering trying out purification pillar instead for happy anti air defence and possible other fun.

(SPIDEY STAYS, btw. that’s my main ) Spidey has stupid strong combos that use only 1 meter (he has a bnb that does 750k, and a harder one that does 800k, all for 1 meter), has sick runaway, and is a good battery I’m trying to figure out an anchor.
At first, I was going to use Sentinel(drones) or IM(beam), but it seems like dorm would be toast once characters get past mid screen. Then I started thinking about Haggar, but I just hate how weak a character he seems when actually playing with him. I think the only ones left are Tron and Doom that are worth thinking about. I probably won’t pick tron because a) I don’t like how she plays, and b)Gustaff only protects from the front, which doesn’t help much considering things like Flame carpet, and characters like dante and wolverine
Are Doom rocks really that good? Can I keep people off when they get close, even close to as good as tron/haggar? Or is that just overrated? I’m genuinely asking, because while I like Doom, I really don’t want to spend alot of time learning yet another relatively difficult-to-use character unless I’m 200% confident that he will complete the team

Doom is only a so-so anchor, and rocks are only decent at creating space; nowhere near Double Lariat. IMO, go with drone or beams, and just understand that Dormammu has to rush in this game.
that’s a shame. I suppose I could run with Lariat, but I dunno if Dormammu does enough damage, in comparison to point characters like Viper, Wesker, Dante, etc (not counting DHC glitch) to justify essentially playing with mainly a two-character team. I guess Dormammu’s not too different from Spider-Man, that you have to build an entire team around him to get his full effectiveness.
I play that team for fun in the Spencer/Wesker/Dormammu order. You can put Wesker first and still be able to DHC glitch via Air Exchange into Spencer.
(Any hard knockdown xx Wesker Samurai Shot Assist xx Bionic Maneuvers)
Kart said it right though, this team does have a hard time getting in. Having Wesker’s Gunshot assist is great in making sure you get DHC Glitch pretty much anywhere and setting up unblockables for Spencer/Dorm, but you don’t really have that great assist to make getting in a lot easier.
Dorm’s Dark Hole does eat it up Projectiles in terms of Zoning Characters, but it’s limited in it’s range/space. Also with only having Dark Hole, Spencer/Wesker’s approaches get a little predictable, with opponents knowing to guessing Zip Line or Teleport most of the time.
I’ve also never been a fan of Dormammu as Anchor (I think he’s amazing 2nd with the right point) but because of the DHC Glitch capabilities, with Spencer/Wesker, I sort of just threw him in last.
Also I’m thinking of picking up Taskmaster/Dorm/XX, what is the BNB combo you guys do with Task to DHC into Dorm?
i am new to the game n i love dorm keeping him 4 umvc3 as well right now i have dante/dorm but i am having a 3rd character crisis any idea who can work well with these two?
