I’ve tried various foams and felt from Amazon, but they’re too smooth especially after a few months.
Did anyone find something that’s as good or better than the Madcatz TE2 foam padding that they can link me to or can provide a specific description with key words like open-cell, neoprene, rubberfoam, etc.
I’ve used the search function but could not find anything.
I really like using EVA Foam on the underside of my sticks. It’s the same type of foam used on the TE2.
If you are in North America, Michael’s actually sells two different sized pads (from a brand called Creatology)–the smaller has adhesive backing that will install really easily. The larger can be applied with a spray adhesive like 3M Super 77 (also available at Michael’s. Home Depot is cheaper).
Get a measuring tape and and start measuring your stick. He said it only comes in two sizes, and chances are you going to have to cut the material anyways.
Smaller self-adhesive pads won’t cover the entirety of the bottom panel, like shown. The larger pad, some 3M Super 77 spray and a sharp hobby knife is the way to go for the TE.
