Im going to be vacationing there in about a month and am wondering what the best arcade is for cvs2 and some 3s. ANY information about the area or advice on what to do please speak up, your input is very much appriciated
The arcade is the MonteCarlo… it’s only a few blocks from the Oosaka station. It’s a 3-story arcade with 3D games (TTT, T4, T5 by now, VF4 Final tuned) on the first floor which you can see as you walk bye), GGXX#r, CvS2, 3S, A3 and stuff on the second floor, and Gundamn 3D fighting game, MvC2, Project Justice, Dark Stalkers, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, COTA, etc. on floor 3.
They should have multiple machines of CvS2, GGXX#r, 3S, VF Final Tuned, and Tekken 5. Lotsa VF and lotsa #r machines… maybe a lot of T5 machines, too. Just one MvC2… sorry.
yeah monte carlo is osakas best comp game centre.
there is no cvs2 there as it got replaced by cfj.
tekken 5, 4 and tag on the 1st floor as well as vf4ft.
2nd floor has NEOWAVE, sf3:ts, alpha 3, anniversary edition, cfj and ggxx the latest one.
3rd floor has a neo machine where you can request the game, crouching tiger kof boot, 2k2, ss0spc, mvc2, kof 98, jojos and a few others i cant remember.
if you want to hook up for some games at monte i have a decent a3 game, good cfj game and play 2k2, neowave and ss0spc ok.

In Nanba (downtown Osaka), right outside of Den Den Town (the electronic district) is a two story Sega World I go to every Saturday. Has CvS2, 3rd Strike (very popular, constant good comp.), Super Turbo (very popular, don’t play so can’t speak of comp. level but bitches look like they be fiending), Alpha 3, CFJ, some version of Guilty Gear, KOF 2003, Last Blade 2, Tekken 5, a buncha VF machines (whatever the newest version out is).
Comp is good; less so for CvS2 but you can still get a good challenge.
Where is this Monte Carlo place again? Osaka station? What section of Osaka, and what train line?
Later,
Alexander
Studying in the Kansai area for one more month…
yeah the sega place has a good range, pretty good comp and is nice inside. problem is its 100 yen a game unlike monte which is 50 yen and has considerably better comp.
monte is sorta hard to find but the best way is to look at hep 5 from the front, head down the right hand alley that runs along the side of it until you see a kfc on the right. cross the main road 5 metres past the kfc and head into the arcade just over the road. from there monte is about 50 metres away and you can see it from outside of the arcade. monte is on the left hand side, it has some ufo catchers out front of it.
Hey Beeze! Actually there is a CvsSNK 2 machine on the 3rd floor now, I was playing on sunday. Comps alright, I didn’t find anybody anymore dominating then the people I played in the states, but then again not so many people were playing it in general. For the record though, the comp in monte carlo is indeed fantastic.
Sick ill check both of those places out, thankyous
