Saw it again today with my friends.
The only complaint I have about this movie:
[details=Spoiler]How fucking lax the characters are with everything aside from the Doctor, Bryan Cranstonâs character, and the soldiers toward the end.
I mean shit, no one seemed to have any urgency about them until the bridge and San Fran scenes. Youâd expect most places to be under lockdown when it is widely broadcasted that there are at least three giant highly destruction, almost indestructible monsters fucking up cities across America with paths undeterminable by the common civilian, as in they could appear anywhere as far as the average Joe could know.
Not even just the civilians, I think Fordâs reaction to his fatherâs death was a little too muted. Bryanâs characterâs reaction in the opening felt legit and intense, unlike his sonâs later on.[/details]
Also to those complaining about Godzillaâs apex-ness
Spoiler
- He didnât really have a chance to eat them right away, seeing as how he collapsed literally seconds after defeating them.
- He could have eaten some of their rotting corpses before he departed into the sea, we werenât given a time frame between his awakening and departure.
Spoiler
She was pregnant before the male gave her the nuke, they straight up zoomed in on her belly during the EOD train bridge scene, she walks over top of the bridge and her belly hangs down in front of the camera filled with glowing orange eggs.
Also, nothing against Mothra, but she would make for a boring movie with boring fights.
She should get bodied quite easily by Godzilla, and is too delicate to really stand a chance.
If they wanted a more armored and terrifying Mothra, then theyâd basically just be making Megaguirus.
Using her would be one of the dumbest choices they could make.
The likes of Destroyah, King Ghidorah(if you donât go in too deep about the Aliens who sent him, and just have him be an invader from space with his motives partially explained for the sake of plot), and Biollante who I feel would be fucking awesome, but would need some other monsters in her film to kind of add to it, since sheâs just a giant immobile plant lizard.
