The later Godzilla movies tried to recreate him as a force of nature that was awoken by the nuclear bombs, rather than created by them as once insinuated during previous movies.
From what I’ve been reading, this movie is a sequel reboot. Just like how Godzilla 1985 was a direct sequel to the original, this one is also supposed to be a direct sequel to the original. So after Serizawa kills him with the Oxygen Destroyer, it looks like he either regenerated, or another one showed up, and they nuked it for a few decades.
This new trailer was sick. I’m used to the old Godzilla being a mutated lizard due to nuclear bomb testings, so him being a force of nature is sort of new and refreshing for me.
1:32 that ain’t no fucking plane. Because first of all, that looks like a flying monster nose diving, and second of all soldiers don’t aim their guns upward to shoot at falling planes.
1:33 Those are fucking wings.
Godzilla is big, but he ain’t big enough to take down passenger planes flying well above and out of his way, and this G don’t seem to be the type to be fast or efficient enough knock that many fighter jets out of the sky consecutively either.
I dont know, I watched the trailer again, and if you look real close theres a part where something is diving in the water. Its tail is spilt into 3 parts, im guessing its a monster no one has ever seen before
Holy crap! That trailer! Pops is going to like this. He introduced me to godzilla 1985(aka the return of godzilla the one where he was supposed to be trapped in a volcano in the end) when I was 4 years old.
Heh, that’s cool. It’s a rare movie that gets me to a theatre, but I’m definitely going to see this in theatres with my Godfather. He’s got Godzilla stuff all over his office.
