Most of the talk was between KSK and Mago.
-KSK doesn’t know why Justin is treated like a villain in US but Daigo is treated like a hero in Japan.
-KSK says there’s no way Adon can do that on him all day without getting punished.
-About Gamerbee, they recognized him because they played against them all the time online.
-They are not impressed by Taiwan’s level of play.
-They are very impressed by Vangief. “How is he out poking him?”
-About Daigo’s match with Arturo. They said Daigo should upload to niconico.
-When watching Marn vs Daigo MM. Daigo is rushing Marn down. KSK says “Stop it! Stop it! I feel for Marn. I know how this feels” and laughs.
-They said Marn was pretty good. Reminds me of (someone).
-“We’ve been watching for hours. Gama, are you okay?” “I slept earlier”
-Mago wishes he went to Evo. He saw the stream and said that he can beat anyone from USA, even Ricky or Justin’s Rufus, but it’s a tournament so anything can happen.
-Mago says USA’s level compared to Japan is “really low”.
-KSK says they have to go next year, and he’ll be Mago’s translator.
-Mago says he’ll go if KSK money matches him.
-They’re mentioned about how they would like a Godsgarden-Evo collaboration.

Because winning makes you an asshole in america for some reason. Though I find it really doubtful no one shit-talks Daigo in japan on 2ch or some shit.
I hope Mago comes to EVO next year.
Hahah mago is salty he didn’t come to evo…next year won’t be as hype, this is probably Evo’s peak.
generally being an ass get you hated to when you ego is so big it suffocates everyone else
Like when is he really egotistical?
Also I like how people complain how awful and dirty counter picking is, yet when he sticks with Rufus against Vangief, people call him arrogant.
Why do you think it’s hit the peak already? I can’t imagine there won’t be more entrants next year and an even bigger pot to the winner.
Yeah, I don’t get it either. He can’t win either way. Justin Wong has been unpopular for years, even since he was a 16 y/o up and comer from NYC, and was reserved and modest.
It has nothing to do with being the best either. Daigo is generally loved by Americans. John Choi and Alex Valle were generally revered during their prime.
I’ll also predict that this might be Evo’s peak, but that’s what we all said about last year. Hahaha. Depends on how good MvC3 is. It’s getting a lot of hate so far, so we’ll see.
double post
I cant believe mago said, USA level is Really Low.
i mean seriously? i thought after this evo all those thoughts were going to change.
This isnt like the comparison from 3s on Jap and USA which was enourmous.
Mago basicly said everyone is free in usa… lets see when he comes next year what happens, that’s just plain arrogance in my perspective.
I wonder what they said when Tokido got knocked out by Floe o_o
I’m not surprised foreigners are saying USA’s level is low. I mean think about it. Japanese get pretty down and dirty with fighters. They study it like it’s a college exam they have to pass. They know their frame data, they know pretty much all their character’s options. Not saying we don’t either but most of those player get really deep in compared to the bit we do as a whole. It also doesn’t help that most of the people who even entered are probably not going to go any further.I’m not trying to knock us and our skill but I can very much believe it. It’s already like that in Tekken when it comes to Americans and Korean’s skill.
and you can’t sit there and act like a lot of people in america don’t say [insert player] is free. Shit like that happens all the time.
as for the Justin bit, I took it as everyone rooting for the underdog. I know I was. It’s nice to see upsets happen once in awhile. Though for whatever reason, there are people who hate Justin out there. Not sure why. I know there are many out there who hate him just cause it’s the thing.
you guys really don’t know why alot of people don’t like Justin Wong? It’s not because he wins alot. Alex Valle used to won alot too, but people don’t hate him.
It’s not just Japan who think US skill is very low level. I see alot of EU think they are better than all the US pros other than J. Wong.
Well, by all means, tell us why we should hate him. Maybe it’s because he’s kinda fat! I see stream monsters call him fat like 90% of the time.
justin was pretty cool when i talked to him at evo…can’t see where the hate comes from
They don’t understand that a lot of it is due to the size difference between Japan and America. Plenty of people can talk behind Justin’s back here in the US because, for the most part, you probably aren’t going to meet him face to face. Many of the people talking shit are never going to meet him, so talking is free. On the other hand, in Japan, it’s a much tighter community so what you say can be linked back to you at lot easier. You notice that most of the people talking about Justin (and Marn for that matter) like he’s some type of bitch aren’t the one’s who are challenging him to a money matches at Evo. You can be mostly anonymous in the US. It doesn’t work the same way in Japan, which is why there’s less of the blatant disrespect going on.
One other thing I will say is that “at least you know you are being disrespected in America”. When I worked in Japan, it was painfully obvious that most people talked behind backs while smiling in your face. Once you get them in a truly anonymous forum, then they are able to let loose on their real feelings. Americans are more prone to tell you to your face when they get the chance. Japanese can’t do that because too many people know who they are. The place is too small. It might make you an outcast from the community. Why take the chance. I’m sure if you check out 2ch you’ll find plenty of Daigo haters lurking in the background. Another example is Mago saying the US is free. He’s over there, there’s no problem with his talking shit about America because we aren’t part of his community. Uchi vs Otaku. My House vs. Your House.
anyone who’s met justin or personally knows him will tell you he’s a cool and chill guy and is willing to help out if you ask the guy questions on the game. People hatin are just like Desturel said. People who won’t ever see/meet wong face to face aka most of the damn stream monsters.
I don’t think America hates Justin Wong. I believe it’s the fact that we love to see the underdog come out on top. We see top players win all the time, but what makes it more exciting is seeing the top players get knocked out for once.
There are a fair number of people who do not like JWong.
