So… wait, the image burned onto the screen (or at least the xbox dashboard)?
Sounds like the last frame was still stuck in graphics memory. If it’s been off and unplugged for a while, it should be fine by now.
It did go away. I forgot to mention that I powered it back on for a moment after disconnecting the power supply. The onscreen image was completely normal again. But I still shut it off and disconnected the power supply anyway, and haven’t touched my 360 since then because I thought it was about to RROD. But like I said before, someone else said it was a bug, but I hadn’t heard of it before. Hence me asking if anyone else has seen or just heard about it anywhere.
Just started to play MK9 online again and i have notice something that should be brought up: why is the uppercut so freaking powerful, it does about 12% damage and don’t get me start on how many people abuse this crappy. i can do a simple 3 hit combo and do just 9% while one freaking uppercut can do 12% damage. Is it me or what?!?!?
Just you.
So recently I converted my old hori ex2 into a all button controller. The problem I’m having is every time I play a match I get a desync error. I haven’t even been able to play an entire match unless I’m playing tag team with my brother online. I’ve literally played less than 15 matches online because it’s so frustrating. If NetherRealm isn’t going to fix this I suppose I’ll just wait for the arcade re-release and keep playing UMK3 with the community of players who are still online.
Arcade re-release of this game? Not going to happen. Warner Bros. doesn’t make arcade games anymore, and Ed Boon said they weren’t really thinking about an arcade release either.
Losing several respect points here everytime i log back i loss 500+…It’s so annoying
Oh you meant a re-release of those games? I thought you meant of MK9. Yeah I already know of that.

Kung Lao’s teleport with the 3 follow-up can’t be chained into back+3. Instead, neutral 3 comes out after he lands.
-
If Kung Lao does 2 4 into spin, the spin will whiff unless his stance matches his opponent’s. (In otherwords, they need to have their backs to the same side.) I’m not sure if this was intentional, and I hope it will be fixed if it wasn’t.

Kung Lao’s 2 4 into enhanced hat whiffs on some opponents, especially in the corner.
It’d be really interesting if they did release this in arcades, especially in Japan.
Number 2 is well known and doesn’t only apply to Kung Lao.
Also, Mortal Kombat isn’t popular in Japan, and I THINK MK9 is banned in Japan. (think is the keyword here)
It’s more popular then you’d think (still not nearly as popular as it is here, at least not yet).
Nope. It’s extremely rare that a game gets banned or edited in Japan, and Mortal Kombat is not among that very exclusive list.
My wins keep disappearing. It will always count my losses, but my wins randomly go away when I leave a room. I just went 14-1 in a KOTH and all the wins are gone now. WTF. At least 10 of my wins disappeared yesterday as well.
Reptiles force ball glitch working every time without tag.
I haven’t really messed with this glitch much before today, outside of having it happen in matches. I went and tried some stuff with it this morning and found this.

If any ex force ball is performed up close and is blocked, it will leave a hitbox in the middle of the screen. The hitbox will stay on screen as long as you don’t use the same version of that force ball. For instance, if I do a close slow ex force ball and it’s blocked I can throw all the fast balls/ex balls I want. If I throw out a slow ball, ex or normal, the hitbox will go away.
Example video.

Bare with me, I’m performing the moves on stick while holding block on the 360 pad.
if you whiff an air throw in a specific way, your character will float when crouching. to try it, jump straight up, falling punch, whiff air throw, hold crouch. Instead of ducking to the ground, your characters feet lift into the ducking position in midair. You can link dashes, dash attacks, and perform certain other attacks while maintaining the float.
Don’t know if this has been addressed or if it was patched out. But I thought breakers did no damage, but I was in a tournament the other day and lost a round to a breaker. Like, I had very little life left, started a combo, the opponent performed a breaker that killed me and gave him the round. It was on xbox360 so I don’t know if this was a pre-patch thing or what.
You can see the match I’m talking about here at 0:58:50 - http://justin.tv/teamkhaos/b/286869414
Looks like this same issue was solved in a different thread.
Tom Brady Noob Guide:“when Noob is hit while in the vulnerable frames of throwing a shadow tackle or low shadow and he breaks your combo, he will take damage from you. 8% for break after shadow tackle and 7% after low shadow.”
When you use Nightwolf’s reflect on wakeup, it doesn’t actually reflect the projectile. It seems that the invincibility gained on wakeup cancels the fireball instead of sending it back at the opponent. Because of that, he stays in reflect the full time (as if it whiffed) instead of recovering immediately after the fireball hits.
Also, I find it annoying that if you move from neutral to diagonally down-back and hit a button, the :d: move will come out. This happens quite a bit when playing Nightwolf where I try to uppercut by hitting :db:+BP and I get a reflect instead. It appears that the game only recognizes the four cardinal directions, so if you hit a diagonal, it interprets it as both of two nearest directions instead of its own unique input.
when my bro enters the game while connected to the internet (Ps3 version) the game freezes in the title screen, or in the mode select screen etc, almost always!. To play we have to disconnect, then enter the game, and THEN connect to the internet. Another thing is, yesterday we were unable to enter online mode, tried for about an hour and nothing (we entered the passcode!) So i dont know what it is!
