Glenside, PA. Classic Game Junkie, sponsor of NEC XI!

Buon Natale guys.
Not sure about next week, partly because I’m not sure about whats going on in the store next week. I’ll stop in and talk with Frank sometime this week.

Well, if not the store we could always play at someone’s place. I’ve got room here to host games.

We need to have a Garou day JT. I haven’t played since NEC…no thats a lie, but only once, lol.

Jan 2nd seems good for me.

Ken- He feels like his 3s incarnation, if not better. the links are great, and I found myself using less meter and building Super, 3s style. And it worked. Mid- Upper IMO

Guile- While in Super you had to play lame, I feel as if you have to play OMEGA lame with him in AE. That meter nurf was signifigant. No wakeup guess FK FADC’s, you need that meter.trust me.

Dudley- He feels as smooth as ever, and I didnt find myself using anything complicated. The new EX Duck and follow ups help more with getting in against zoning characters.

Ryu- This dude is a waste of time at this point. Above average ryus used escape tatsus, and thats gone. Getting and keeping him in the corner is much easier.
6-4 Dudley IMO.

Dictator- The scissor pushback isn’t that bad, you just have to depend more on pokes and overall normal pressure. The faster teleport works wonder against vortex characters. (Akuma, Ibuki)

Yang- Felt like fei with a divekick, but thats just me. His pressure game is straightforward and effective, but cant take a punch, never could.

Cody- Watching hu’s cody at CF inspired me to try Cody again, and he feels great. The walk speed was his only mandatory buff, but the other ones are definitely noticed. Still free once you knock him down, but a good Cody wont let that happen. As long as cody is standing, I can guarantee he’ll be a pain in the ass.

any other characters you guys would like, Glenside?

So is University Pinball having an AE tournament in late january?

They have 3s there right?

Is knife Cody better than SSFIV?

I don’t know anything about AE…

Last time I was there in late summer, they had a pretty poor 3s setup ;/. Doylestown, Pa has the cab that was at NEC thouuuuugh. Supposedly there are negotiations to move it to Glenside though… Pretty clcose to Philly.

The 3s in UP is a.)On american parts and b.)emulated (input lag)
<edit> Kenny, the only two characters I care about are Makoto and Sakura lol

Cody - Faster Low short. 3 frame startup instead of 4.

    - Faster walk speed. his most signifigant buff.

    - Knife pickup range felt great. He has like a Kara knife pickup. lol

MANkoto- she has some old school 3s resets with great priority

-Ridicoulous speed buff on U2. I dont even think booms are safe against that bitch.

-Karakusa recovery time fixed. she doesnt do that weird thing with her hands after a whiffed KK.

-She now has the potential to be top 10 imo.

SSFIV tier list Fei Wrong, E Honda, Boxer, Dictator, KNIFE CODY, xxxabunchoffoolsxxx, lame Cody.

lol, relax jordan. and why isnt Guile up there?

Rocks > Sonic Boom. Cody HK > Guile toward Fierce. Knife > Guile U2. SO TRUE.

Guest plug: Head to Doylestown’s fight night tonight if you play any fighting games! Always lots of 3s and SSFIV!

Yang hype!

Shoryuken - SSF4 AE: Mago (Sa) VS Nemo (Ya)

What’s up y’all. I’m back in town, and finally back into internet land. One of the only things that sucks about going to the parents’ is that they don’t have internet… What’s cooking for the week?

Most definitely. Since NEC I’ve played Garou a bit here and there. Once with Danny, and most of the rest of the time messing with learning some setups. Let me know when you’re free.

For reals…it is already January, Winter Brawl isn’t too far off…What do you say about the Friday before, or that Saturday night of -the 15th. It co-sides with Body Shop Saturdays, I’ll host at my place, with the option of to crash. We’ll have my cab set up, I’ll even wire up a Neo Port for Danny, so he can use his PS2 controller instead of arcade controls…lol, thinking about it, I may even wire up a Neo-Blitz and start recording our matches.

I would say to do it at HuBBs, but my issue is going there during the work week. :frowning: I have to wake up at 6 each morning for work, and my driving skills become piss poor after 10-11pm. I feel bad too, because I know he has to be a great host, and he is another solid player to get practice with…but those are my current constraints.

Let me know what you think! I am posting this in the public, because anyone else who is interested, speak up. Want to spread that Garou love. I’m only 5 minutes away from the Body Shop location, so if you you want to get a crazy amount of games going, let me know.

Yeah we need a garou day. I am trying to get this amazing player from delaware to come up for a session. I met him on ggpo.

I’d be down for playing Garou if a few guys came to Game Junkie on a Friday or Sunday.

That would be awesome! I really need to put the time into getting a GGPO setup up and running…

But yeah, after some reasoning, I figure I could make it to HuBBs on Tuesday, but I’d have to come and leave earlier then most.

Coincides with Body Shop? You suggesting for your place after shop closes up?

I can always have people over at my place most anytime; I’m literally only a mile away from Hubbs’ place. Whenever I get off my ass, I should build that second supergun I’ve been meaning to build and get my hands on a second MVS mobo. Once that happens, I can run multiple setups here between my two copies of Garou on MVS and my mame cab that pretty much just sits here as of late.

That aside, is anyone going to Game Junkie tomorrow? I’d rather not burn the gas if I’m just going to end up sitting there putzing around in practice mode (I can do this at home).

I just stopped up at GJ, they were closed today, not sure what’s up with them for tomorrow. I can’t show up though :[
Also I may start playing BB again Joe, so I’ll probably play that with you some once we get everything set up this year
