clearly these women are funny to some people. im at least aware that mccarthy and wigg have had a lot of comedic success. and lets not forget that we were kids when we saw the original ghostbusters. we’re all a lot more critical about comedy now. i don’t think this movie is really for old ghostbusters fans, which understandably irks old ghostbusters fans, but these people aren’t nobodies to the general public.
of course i personally don’t think any of them are funny, but i dont think most comedians are funny.
Dude I could watch Ghostbusters 1 right now and think its hilarious and love it. I know for a fact that when I watch the remake am gonna have to put a blindfold on, take my pants off then randomly attack niggas in reach just to make sense of the world after the movie melts my brain.
there is a difference between McCarthy and Wigg being in what can be considered a comedy movie, and Aykroyd, Ramis, and Murray, who had been working together as sketch comedy groups doing SCTV, SNL, and more. Ramis and Bill Murray had made one of the funniest movies of all time, Caddy Shack. These bitches ain’t even worth playing the fucking gopher in Caddy Shack.
If they bring back the original cast and write a new ghost busters it’s going to suck guaranteed. The fact they brought a new cast and are trying something new makes it escape from the hole of being judged by its predecessors. All I am saying is look at this as a new movie independent of the old ones and try to keep an open mind. Seeing 4 girls does not = trash. We haven’t even seen a trailer yet so i am just waiting and seeing.
The only people who sincerely seem to think these women are hilarious are the tumblr/marysue.com crowd. I’m not saying that’s a bad thing but it would be nice if people could at least acknowledge the crowd these actresses tend to draw.
I think the fact that Murray, Aykroyd, and Ramis were a team definitely helped especially the first movie. I liked Bridesmaids more than I thought I would and think Kristen Wiig is talented, I guess Ghostbusters is kind of a sacred cow to me.

Are any of these actresses even funny? Cause I havent seen them in 1 movie. Reese Witherspoon, Cameron diaz, and Drew Barrymore I bet are funnier then all of them.
