2 concerns:
I hope the director Paul Feig reins in Melissa Mccarthy and does not do the obvious slapstick/physical comedy stuff.
GB1 was funny b/c of the script’s dry wit. I dont want 3 stooges style pratfalls to be the draw here.
Make ghosts have a scary appearance and use more "gothic horror " music score like the first film.
I know they have to have some "Cute " ones like Slimer, Staypuff but the horror vibe really sets GB1 ahead of GB2 imo.
the demon dogs were iconic in GB1.
I love how so many "progressive"sites are jumping on this and calling anyone who hates it “sexist women haters.” It seems like the true way to reach equality in media is just take every franchise with a male lead and replace them with a woman…equality!

I’m disappointed in the casting choices, a little. McCarthy makes a little sense, but what about comediennes/actresses like Tina Fey, Lisa Lampanelli, Amy Schumer, Sarah Silverman, Whitney Cummings, Alex Borstein, Anna Faris, Stephnie Weir, Jenny Slate, Kristen Schaal. All much more known than most of these girls, and most of them are much more pleasing on the eyes.

I read the IDW run of ghostbusters and surprisingly didn’t like it that much. I never got around to the extreme ghost busters run though.
Man i was reading this news today… i died a little. I was also watching St.vincent before hand… gonna flop methinks. If they start complaining how all male ghosts are dogs im gonna riot lol
As a huge and I mean huge Ghostbuster’s fan, I gave up hope of a #3 many years ago and definitely don’t want ANY kinda reboot if Egon can’t be himself or a part of it and when this first came to light as a option of a all woman cast I was hoping they didn’t spare ANY expense and got 4 talented top of the line actresses, like Emma Stone who was rumored seemed like a great fit and a great building foundation, but my guess is she was smart to stay away from this garbage. Wiig and McCarthy seem ok like coming off the bench but not as the top actresses of the movie, behind a Stone they could of been great supporting cast as the 2-3.
But to be fair I was certain the last turtles movie would be complete and ass and it wasn’t overly terrible. But if this has ANY success ill be shocked. Like completely truly shocked.
Ah man you’re missing out. The IDW run is pretty much the animated series will all wanted and it continues the movies’ and 09 game’s canon.

I did see it at my comic store but I decided against it…at the time I was collecting nearly 50 comics and my wallet was starving enough as it was ha. If I see a hardcover around I’ll probably pick it up along with the TMNT volumes I gotta read.
