You don’t need to further the story for the Golden Temple. I found it through exploration and it had the sword smith there available for use. For the other spots you may need to complete a quest associated with the area before the merchants become available. That’s the case for the forge and Azamo Bay.
Word up, thanks. I’ll check it out today.
Lady Masako story arc hitting my feels hard. She could have easily been the main character with her story arc and potential character development.
Made it to the 2nd part of the island, last night!
Having all the stances, the Lightning strike, and the Deflection & Evasion skill nearly filled out was great investment.
As the Mongol enemy types evolve and get stronger, and even overlap skills
Sharing this again for those struggling:
I find it amusing how bootleg they went with calling supplies …“supplies” in the game. Like they didn’t even try to put any effort into what they actually are and said fuck it, we’re just going with generic ass supplies instead.
I’ll be getting hype when I come across a huge bundle of “supplies”.
Just finished two very important quest lines for chapter two and the ending to them…man
The gear and rewards are worth it but DAMN!!
You’re going to be shedding some man tears!
China isn’t happy with this game
Neither are a number of Asian American journos.
This game is hard to put down. I’m enjoying it more than HZD, more than BotW. It might actually be my favorite open world game. There’s just so much shit to do and explore. Loving it.
@chadouken Funny you should say that…

I found a merchant specializing in white dye. I’m gonna have Jin looking like storm shadow.
I guess I should remove the hide details tags on my posts, as the contain little to no story spoilers.
Hell everyone who got it last week should be at Chapter 2 or close to it.
Re-quoting this.
Those leap from horse combo starters
Where’s the white dye merchant?
Also really surprised by the game. Thought it would be your typical Assassins Creed collectathon type of game, but the combat is pure 1980’s crack. They make the collectathon stuff feel worth it too.
The merchant is at wanderers pass on the first area of the island.
Does rep have an affect on gameplay? I’m asking because I’m at avenging guardian and I’m noticing enemies are getting terrified a lot more often.
It does.
You think Mongols are terrified…just wait until you unlock Ghost Stance!!
Just played for a few more hours tonight. Is it strange that I’ve put like 12 hours in and I still haven’t progressed past Act 1? I still haven’t even rescued Yuna’s brother. I keep getting distracted by the Tales side quests and exploring, lol. Been switching between Ishikawa and Masako’s quests, upgrading shit and unlocking skills.
I really like how Yuna is telling the story of Jin’s exploits as a folktale. Not only will it spread faster and I feel it will protect his reputation. Considering all the dishonorable things he had to do he probably would be disgraced as a samurai if any of the stories were played straight.
Finshed Act 1. Doing more of Ishikawa’s missions to find his student. Going to check on to more Yuna missions after that and just go full fight mode. Games cool so far, but I don’t think I’m gonna finish it this year.
Using fast travel.
