It looks damn good. Sucker Punch is a superb studio with heaps of talent, so I’ll get this when I can. Been craving for an open world samurai game for ages.

Good to see I’m not alone 
Ever since Okami I have wanted an open world Samurai game.
I won’t be able to play this for awhile due to work so you boys need to keep the samurai spirit alive for me. I’ll have to live vicariously through the srk homies.

Playing this with the Japanese dialogue is painful. Why did they have to cheap out on the lip syncing
That didn’t bother me at all because I was reading and not looking at the lips at all. I did change it back to English though after playing a bit because there is a lot of dialog while playing and it was hard to read and play a the same time. I found the Japanese voices pretty good too. I expected way worse based on the little comments I read from some of the reviews. The English voices are okay. Nothing special but they aren’t bad or anything.
English voices so far are rather good!!
I don’t have any complaints.
I don’t entirely focus on the text on screen when I read subtitles so I can see the acting in the animations and voice work. It feels like one of those old Godzilla dubs with the Japanese voices. I guess I just got to hope it doesn’t get too egregious during the emotional scenes.

Yeah it’s kind of odd to me that they went with the English lip synching and dubbing with Japanese. I fully expected the opposite. I’m guessing Sucker Punch is an English speaking company based on the name though so it makes sense that the animators probably had expertise in English language animations though. The English voices are definitely better than I expected too.

That is what I figured. I just put 90 more minutes into this game. I’m somewhere between 5-6 hours today in it. And I think I’ve done like 3 or 4 story missions. This game gonna be long.

I think Japanese lip synching is going to be patched in. Prices on eBay for the steelbook are starting crazy. Don’t know if anyone will bite though. Gonna keep an eye on it.
Might start it tomorrow though…
How do you like the combat so far? I have just enough in gift cards to get the game, and now that I’m done with Uncharted I’m looking for the next thing to sink my teeth into. I have the Bioshock collection, which I’ve never played before. But I’m wondering if I should just download GoT and jump right in. I’m hoping the gameplay and combat is engaging.
