Ok guys hope you had a good thanksgiving, lets get together this weekend and play some CFJ. Who does everyone play at the moment? I am messing with Rose, guy,Bison, Nool. Paul make me a return Av so I can quit taking Tantin’s avatars. Make it with Nool.
Chris and Jared’s avatar’s.
Chris’s
BTW, the Yun video IS out. Video-Opera has the link, and of course it’s on the website. http://renocrew.hahcoe.net
Very nice. Does this mean I’m Renocrew yet? Or must I continue to rep Fallon Squad.
You must defeat Shen Long to stand a chance.
JP
Shen Long? …Rob? I beat his Jam. I’ve got wins on everyone /but/ you JP.
I think Reno needs to seriously step up the game-play element of #R. If we don’t, Rob is going to consume us with Eddie unblockables and other nonsense! Hopefully Nick can get those games swapped, and we can have ultimate fight nights at Atlantis.
And Tantin; to join Renocrew, you must not mash. That is priority #1. And you have to be able to LEARN from your mistakes. ;o
Beating me isn’t worthy of an ego boost. I suck (obviously). ;o
Tantin: And that is why, you still don’t stand a chance.
As for stepping up the gameplay. I really don’t think it’s the gameplay, but rather than people have to change their game the minute it’s recognized. Everyone tends to fall into this mindset that if it works, just keep doing it. That’s the problem, sure it may work now, but that doesn’t really help you at all in the long run. If everyone wants to be better at what they do, then people have to realize their own flaws (and also ask anyone if they do notice a flaw). Once you do find out about that flaw, then see again if there is one. Remember, no one is perfect, so there’s always a flaw there.
Also if everybody wants to be hella good, everyone should start realizing stuff on their own and not just give up. If you are having problems with certain characters, learn how to play that character. And NO, not with just combos and what you see on video. See what is good about that character and why is that character played that way. What you see on videos (JPN’s at least), are advanced. See how he is played with basics, and then go on from there. Combo’s are always secondary. They’re not hard, they’re learned. There’s is no impossible combos (example Rob said Nako’s crouching short kick (X3), standing fierce, into bird super is really hard yet I learned it in 30minutes when I was in Sac during B5). Nothing is impossible. They’re all learned. The most important thing you should worry about, when learning and picking up a brand new character is, how they are played. Gameplay > combos in a big way. Sure you can do combos and that’s fine and dandy but if you can’t set it up, then what the hell is the point. You learn your basic gameplay, and you will see how far better that is, instead of just learning combos.
Rob: f+4, 2, f+3, 3, 3, 4, 2, f+3.
JP
P.S. Tantin :You yourself must show that you know what you’re doing with that character. If you threw out a move, you knew why you threw out that move. If you learn how to do that, you will stop throwing out moves randomly.
Playing Reload is cool, I’m sticking with potemkin. As far as cfj I’m going with Bison/Anakaris. Anakaris is so good, damn I’m glad I read Rob’s tier list and realized this early on.
Okay, JP, Paul has a little more room to talk about my gameplay and my control than you do, seeing as how he’s played me within the last three months or so, though it was only once, and in Marvel.
HAHA, OH I’M SORRY, HAVE YOU CHANGED SINCE?? AS FAR AS WHAT PEOPLE ARE TELLING ME, YOU HAVEN’T. OI!! KOSO!!! Don’t get too big headed about your win againts Scott, since you sounded off to me, guess what, I’ll play you on a money match, if you can pull a shit off consistently againts me, then you can say I have no room to talk. As far as I’m concerned, KOSO!, you’re going down. Since you have the balls to come up and say this shit, prove me wrong sucka!!! I’m tired of this shit, I’m just giving advice and yet this is what I get?? HAHA KOSO!!! You don’t know what you’re getting into. AHhhhhhhhhhhh damn, guess what you want some of me, you’ll get it.
JP
P.S. PUTANG INA!!! I’m pissed off now, hey Andrei, call me, 351-6846
WTF is with the random KUSO???

Tantin…he was just trying to help man.
All of what he said was true.
You should consider it…instead of bashing him

The PGA tour
Anyway, I played Tantin tonight. Jared, don’t take this as a diss… but sort’ve an eye-opener, maybe?..
I honestly have no idea how to help you, because it doesn’t seem like you want to improve. You seem perfectly happy (?) for whatever reason losing, saying you suck, this and that… I don’t know if you have self esteem issues, but fighting games isn’t the place for this.
You played me tonight, and everytime you lost a round, you’d immediately say “man I suck” or whatever, after the 4th game I was just tired of hearing it. I don’t want to play someone like you who just seems like he is a broken record when it comes to that. If you want to improve, like I said before… learn from your mistakes.
Anyway, your gameplay isn’t really going anywhere… You’re trying to play 2 characters that are total opposites, and it’s just not working. Your Faust is either c.K -> s.D, or s.HS -> pogo -> twirly… Throw an item here and there, and an air bag.
Your Anji is auto-guard abuse, hoping I’ll throw an item out and you mashing s.P to get the counter every time. It works the first few times, but after a couple seconds, I figure out your gameplan and it’s over.
And about what you posted for JP; JP just wants you to get better, and you getting on him like that isn’t what he wants IMO. He posted everything you really DO need to do if you want to be somewhat competitive. While Renocrew plays games for fun, we play games to a degree that is nowhere near “casual”.
So Jared, Tantin, whatever; if you want to improve, you really need to step up your game. You need to stop relying on 2 very basic, dangerous patterns and look at your characters, break them down. I really don’t know how to help you at this point.
I dunno what koso means, if that’s tagalog then it’s not commonly used…because I don’t think I’ve ever heard “koso” being used as a 1-word exclamation in conversations.
Tantin, you seem very enthusiastic about wanting to play #R competitively, but your actions don’t seem to match your words. How come you aren’t trying to learn the game or step up your gameplay? Most people get out of the button mashing stage in 2 months tops…don’t you want to take the game seriously, sit down, and learn it properly? Games in general are a lot more fun at a higher level of understanding.
i think kuso is japanese for shit…or a should of disgust???
No I’m not happy with it, and I’m not taking your comments as a diss. I do see my problem. But when people like JP, who has shown up… What? One weekend since Evo? And now Raon, who I’m reasonably sure I’ve never played comment on my game rather harshly, it pisses me off. I know my game needs improvement, and I don’t mind any criticism as long as the person knows my game. And about the ‘man I suck’ stuff, what should I say when I lose? I’m reasonably sure everyone takes it as a joke by now.
And how the fuck do I come up with new patterns when I’m lucky to have two people to play for an hour a week?
