GGXX#R PC online

No one really plays this huh? ) :

I guess there is no hope for me, I went as far as enabling DMZ on my router but I still can’t connect to other players.

Make sure you don’t have any software firewalls enabled either. That includes Windows firewall.

Also I’ve been finding that the stage choice seems to have a big impact on whether it works or not. Sol/Ky/Slayer/Faust stages have worked fairly well for me, but most others usually crash.

this is awesome , hopefully i can find my jap GGX #R cd soon

Hey ForestBlazer, My router is a Linksys Wireless-G 2.4 GHz broadband Router.

Mine says timeout. I can’t get it working, every person I try to join or who joins me gets sent back to the lobby. I disabled my firewall and whatnot. Still no go.

if you get timeout, your likely behind a router.
and you have to forward your ports from what I read.

but im not entirely sure how to do that.

if its not that… then I dont know.

says the same for me

I DMZ’d my router and dropped my MS Firewall as well. If you can’t connect after doing that you’re not connecting.

fixed after turning off firewall, gotta configure it later.
had a bunch of desyncs

Ok, I am not behind a router, so i am wondering where do i find my port number?

if u don’t have a router, u have nothing to worry about port numbers. maybe ur firewall like me or something. not sure

Blazer, I have the same problem, I can log into my router and figure out just where to go but it’s still a no go, my shit is a 2wire HomePortal 1800HG, any advice?

What are you fellas using to play this? I just tried with the keyboard… and well… lol!

EDIT: Well, I just got my PS3 controller wired up for PC use and it rocks out with MAME and other emulators.
Is there anyway I can edit my controls to use the controller? The in-game key config really only lets you change around their buttons consisting of only U, I, O, H, K on the keyboard.

EDIT EDIT: Definitely just found what I needed in the Japanese config! Controllers/joysticks are under the third tab of the config.exe for those interested.

i highly recommend this thread, peoples.

Im going to learn this game too. Cya around ggxx #R players LOL!

sigh*

ill give this a try tonight. Maybe it will be far superior to the Netplay of EFZ or so many other doujin fighters. Cause so far I havnt found one thats even close to flawless. Unless u can point me to one? but i doubt it.

Anyway ill test it out and give my responce after. Sounds like connecting takes so much effort to set up, so i aint exactly jumping out of my seat to do this.

Grrrr my wireless router need to have a static ip address to be able to port forward. Anyone know how to do this??

Forgot to mention. What I did, because I have some annoying bug/virus or whatever where I can’t turn off my windows xp firewall, is go to Start>Network Connections. Then right click on the icon of your internet connection and choose properties. Then click the advanced tab, then click settings under windows firewall. Now click the exceptions tab, then in there, click add port and make sure TCP button is filled in/checked. Now just input a name (GGX#RELOAD or whatever) and type in 10000 as the port (as that is the default), or make it match up with the port you define in ggxxnet_config.exe. It didn’t work right away. So I restarted my computer and it worked! Hope to see you there!

EDIT
I also forwarded this port (10000) in my router. Just go to www.portforward.com for help if you don’t know how. Or go to the website of your router’s maker and see if they have a manual online. My motorola one did.

There seems to be a new patch out, anyone know the changes?
