this sucks i can see players but cant connect:annoy:
Tea, I get a blank lobby like you whenever I enter NetVS. How did you fix this?
make sure you copy and paste the lobby link emil provided into your net config. Then I restarted my computer and it worked. I’m even playing through my router with no problems except I’m still really bad at this game.
hmm the NG status and ---- ping is getting to me.
any tips?
Has anyone resolve the problem where it won’t connect you to a player and sends you back to the lobby?
i unplugged my router and it seemed to help a lot with the connecting issues, but i’ve still been getting the desyncs
two issues I have:
- I cant even tell if the game is desynched sometimes
- A lot of dumbfucks dropping games cause theyre about to lose
edit: three issues
- It’d be nice to have a better lobby system in a future update; but its still early on I guess. The random matches get annoying when I want to play someone I know though.
otherwise this works great… when it works at least. When it works it’s awesome, when it doesnt, its awful.
I had the same desync issues…as for those droppers, post them in the bad games thread. There seem to be a lot of people that drop when their win streak is relatively high.
Use a different delay that other people in the server don’t use, then they can’t join you. I recommend delay 3, since most people use 2 and 4.
What are the causes of being booted back to lobby? I get into the lobby NP and see “idle” I go to connect, it looks to load and then goes back to lobby. Suggestions?
Who the hell is the idiot who decided to bad rep me for trying to help in my last post? Why does it seem like almost everyone who has Premium Membership is a little kid?
The instructions I have say to change “Shortcut” in the gameptions to ON. I don’t really know what it does though, maybe it’s required.
You misunderstood. I followed the instructions and I can get to the online lobby and people try to connect to me but it just sends me back to the online lobby every time. Is there something missing? I have an open port running.
I believe the shortcut is so you can see the mode; vs net.
Emil dont worry about the rep shit, usually haters de-rep you.
perfect time to say dont hate the player, hate the game.
anyways im still having problems playing online.
I get to the lobby and see no ping and status ng.
does it have to do with my port or something?
edit: when I check the port scanner it says timeout.
what can I do?
are you behind a router? You probably gotta go in and forward ports… I’ve got 9900 thru 10100 open on mine.
Well I didn’t misunderstand, there are many reasons as to why that happens. I never had the problem but I know many others that did. Some people got it to work by just restarting their computer, which I don’t really understand.
yeah Im behind a router but, I cant seem to find out the username and password.
because I think my older bro set it or something.
is there a default one?
i got all my ports fowarded and it still dropped me. I plugged my modem directly in the PC and it fixed some of those issues, however desyncing still happens. How you can tell if you’re desynced is easy. Just spam attacks as they wake up and if they aren’t blocking then it has most likely desynced
Sadly, that’s how bad some people really play.
Nagata, goto http://whatsmyip.org/ports and see if the port you are using(which I assume is 10000) gives you “Timeout” or “Closed”.
I can only get it working when I completely drop my router’s firewall. A lot of people still didn’t connect though, making me believe they have router issues as well. I didn’t have a single dsync in about 1/2 hour of gaming. I did have a few people drop though when they’re about to lose. Ah well…
#1 Turn off Windows fire wall and any other fire wall programs you have running (Norton Zone Alarm etc…)
#2 If you have a router, you will need to forward port 10000 to the local IP address of your computer. To find the local IP address you click START -> RUN -> type “cmd” and hit enter. Then type the command “ipconfig” and hit enter. It should show you your IP address. Next step is to log into your router with your internet browser and forward the ports. The steps for doing that correspond to what brand of router you have. If you know what router you have, tell me and I’ll let you if I know how to do it.
