Hack for the PC version of GGXX#R
If you’ve been over to the Image Mishmash section lately, you may have been aware of the GGXX#R Sprite rip hack that my bro’ created for the PC version of GGXX#R. Well, my bro’ finished updating the hack to Version 4, and you may be interested in some of it’s features.
The Hack (Version 4):
Main: ggxxr_sprite_ripper.rar
Mirror: ggxxr_sprite_ripper.rar
New in Hack Version 4 is the ability to rip video (avi) while running the game (direct output).
Previous features include:
- Ripping Textures (sprites)
- Ripping Frames (frame-by-frame screen shots)
- Lock camera position
- Lock/disable zoom (camera zoom)
- Rip texture alpha
- Disable layers (background/sprite layers)
- Fixed a memory leak
The newest feature allows you to start recording data to an avi file while the game and the hack are running. Simply run the hack, push the appropriate button, and click on the game. A pop-up window will ask you what codec you wish to use to record the video. I personally recommend DivX, X-vid, or TechSmith screen capture.
The game runs a little slow while recording to an avi, but this may either be a good thing or a bad thing (depending on how you look at it).
If you’re having trouble recording at slow speeds, you can use the training mode “memory record” feature to pre-record the combo (or whatever), then rip it.
Here is a sample of what the hack can do: http://home.coqui.net/evilaro/xenozip/Millia_loop1.avi
As you can see, this hack has the potential to be very useful for combo demonstrations, or perhaps even combo videos (yay!).
Again, the hack is for the PC verion of GGXX#R and was created by Blip. Please read the documentation included in the rar file before proceeding to use the hack. Thank you.
