You know you all should try posting match videos I want to see how everyone else plays just to get a few pointers, i’m more of a visual person my self I learn better when i see things in action. not to mention me and Doren2k and maybe some unexpected visitor( and this person knows who he is)will most likely have some up later in june.

To the people who say top-tier lack variety, I think the only ones you could say that about are Faust and Slayer. Eddie and Millia are hella fun to play imo. And I play Anji cause he’s way too fun. Course I could make him boring and just do unblockables all day, but instead I fool around w/ resets, blow tension on Orb-RC-airdash crap, and go for fuujin loops all day long. It’s crazy fun!
I’ve always felt that there at least 2 ways to play every character in the game (and many of them have more than that). Even Slayer has so many deceptions and mixups with his dashes that he can be played in different manners. I play what I refer to as a very calculated Anji. Meaning my focus is soley put towards getting into perfect trap setups (where I feel Anji has the most control of the match). I change up how I do it based on the match and such but my focus is always looking for that perfect trap setup.
I play the best Baiken in the AS all the time and no she does not win all the time, but she is a hard match up. 2 hs owns her, 6k autogaurds her mats really well and also her jumping hs if your good enough. Plus you can bait the hell out of her is you know how Baiken is played and I do. Jams pokes are too good for Anji and her moves are hard to see sometimes. Flash Metriod’s Jam has showed me her power at FR7 and yes shes good.
Baiken is a counter character to Anji. IMO the worst matchups for Anji (though he has many) are Baiken, Bridgett and Chipp. Then again, he really does not have an advantage in any matchup.
Baiken is definatly Anji’s toughest matchup. Traps get nullfied by counters, and 2D destroys Anji’s game. j.S also is really good at outpoking him. If GC ever comes back up I did write a matchup faq for fighting Baiken way back when on the boards.
sigh…Baiken. Such an uphill battle with that pink haired nightmare with one eye. I haven’t played a well-played Baiken, yet…but I’m certainly dreading that fateful day. It might even be at EVO…
Anyway…fellow Anji alliance, I’ve always wanted to ask this question: which Anji colors do you guys choose? It’s kind of a signature color thing that I have going on(I use the L1 + X color most of the time in #R, and the normal Triangle red color in XX.) Just wanted to know.
Have I played against you and I just don’t remember, or am I just thinking you’re serious when you’re actually joking?

yeah i saved that page and i have gotten a little better when it comes to baiting out here 2d i even beat here 2 times in a row now that an accomplishment.:lol: ( some what) i’m not sure if this has already been covered but whats a good strategy for ky and jam i cn beat them but it takes to much time.
Pmtoney if you still have it post it here would you, that’s a pretty common question for Anji players is how to deal with baiken, I wouldn’t mind having it here for anyone who wants to have it.
As for Anji Color, Start, Start, Start. Both XX and #R. I love the XX black with white trim but the #R Assassin black is nice too.

selfsci will agree with me when i say red is the premier anji color.
