GGXX:Accent Core Thread! [AMERICAN PS2 RELEASE, GO GO GO!]

Basically she’s millia and she blocked four heavy normals beforehand. Not much proration where his pressure broke through either.

Millia is a hurt woman.

For real. It’s really deterring… my main competition is a Ky, even his loops make me cry.

That’s when I come in with the healin’!:lovin:

Ill try to run into him.

Today I had about 20-30 matches using Sol/Order-Sol. I mostly used Order-Sol since lack of current practice resulted in my plulling off Sol’s GF FRC twice out of 8 3 round matches…so…

I had a few matches against a Potemkin player. He started to complain that Order-Sol is so fast and Potemkin so slow and that he’s really limited in what he does. Then he says Potemkin doesn’t have a weapon gesturing towards OS’s sword. Apparently that was his defense as to why OS was such a problem for him. he didn’t do bad at all. Then came the best Potemkin in the group and he PWNs me. Dunno, I just am really nerve wrecked when playing people.

Then comes in the best Sol player out of all of us. He decides to use Jam. I tell him:“Order-sol’s rushdown is better than Jam’s.” He said:“Where in this?” he proceeds to scoff. I dunno why, I guess because Jam is high ranked in AC, he decided for some reason to use puffballs as some sort of poke. Maybe some other people opt to try to stuff it with lows or are scared of Jam(CH PB) so they just either block or get hit. I knew how to beat Puffballs so I used Gunblaze. EVERYTIME. He’ll try to do dash behind>puffball. CH Gunblaze. Then he started to use FB Puffball. I thought FB Puffball had FULL BODY invincibility so nothing I had could beat it save for Tyrant Rave. So out of pure chance I decided to give lvl.2 SV a shot and SUCCESS! I beat his FB Puffball. His words cracked me up.“What’s this? Gimmicks?!” And “Are you serious?! WTF! Is Order-Sol a counter to Jam?!” He started to get angry… so he started to use even more puffballs.

Then comes the Millia player. Last I played him w/OS, he wrecked me pretty badly. But this time things were different. I did improve(although a bit of skill was lost due to lack of practice). So we had a few matches…about an hour worth and more later on. So I was beating him. He was doing fine but I kept telling him mixup more/you’re not adding FB disc to your pressure. After I tell that OS is possibly Millia’s worst matchup in AC. He decides to change his style of play all together. I had never seen this before from any Millia player. He decides that he’ll turtle. This was quite annoying. I had a hard time approaching him at all. Then I started using SV more and more. Oh God what went wrong?! He ate a lot of SV’s. Nearly every time he’ll try to hit me>SV. “dammit your last 3 attacks were SV!” But this made my day:“In a game like GG, SV is broken.” I kept telling me try to bait me but no he didn’t listen. Like when he’ll backdask or try to use a disc I’ll Grand Viper him with Sol.

Annoying ass Millia… He’s decent but I need to get better competition.

Does anyone have any additional info on this?

http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-40-49-en-70-2giv.html

Re-release for Japan. Has all the fixes the American version has, plus a new story mode, survival mode, mission mode, and Kliff and Justice. Tournament-wise, American AC and Japan’s AC+ are both the same. If you can read Japanese, then the new story mode might be interesting.

Thanks very much for the information, In a topic with over a 100 pages, it was rather hard to find specifically what I was looking for.

Good to know that the US copy is decent.

But one thing I don’t know if it’s Arcade Perfect. Several people asked this question but it never was answered (as far as I know)

Yes, it’s arcade perfect.

IIRC, the only thing not arcade perfect about the US release is that Johnny’s Killer Joker Transport is not auto jump installed. In the arcade, this move should automatically have jump properties after being FRCed. Not a big deal though.

So does that mean it resets jumps too then? I still don’t know what moves do that.

AirKillerJoker resets air movement.
KillerJoker off of KillerJokerTransport does not reset air movement, but also doesn’t count towards your AKJ limit, which is understandable since you haven’t done an AKJ.

2HS > IAD j.S j.HS 41236S -land- > j.S j.HS j.D 41236S -land- > Keystab > OTG Keystab

I okay. Quick question, If I’m playing against the computer should they be able to recover before the 2nd j.slash

only if you’re not doing a running jump. it has to be a running jump for the second rep to connect right… 'specially with the keygrab finisher.

Damn okay, thats the problem. Looks like I need to just keep practicing. Is the running jump true for everything thats after Wings?

Once you learn how to do the running jump well enough, you always wanna try to running jump. There’s situations where the second loop will hit without running jump, but I’m almost positive you won’t land a keygrab after, as they’ll tech into the air or something. Maybe one otg keygrab. It’s better to just always try to running jump… I don’t remember what characters it works on, but I think I had an easier time doing 2HS, pause, running jump jS jHS jD orbs x2, but I don’t remember if that sets up the keygrabs like the other one.

Hey guys, does anyone have a link to some good Zappa stuff? I don’t play this game but I’d like too. I played GGX (just as a scrub).

Did you check the Zappa forums on Dustloop? There’s a guide there plus the Zappa forum is quite active.

In one of the threads in the Zappa forums on Dustloop, there’s a link to a Japanese site called sergeant. That has plenty of good stuff.
