Uhhh… I PLAY I-no. I know because of that. The other players you listed are better than me and ANYONE and EVERYONE will tell you you have to master her FRC’s, hell maybe even not ALL, but you have to nail down her CL FRC IAD. How would I know? Simple. From the HCL FRC IAD, I-no gains more mixup, pressure, damage, combos. You have to be able to JI and TK her HCL and be able to FRC IAD after because it’s where her most damaging combos come from. I bet BLOOD you will never see a good I-no that CANNOT HCL FRC IAD for pressure and combos. How far do you think you are going to make it if you don’t take the time to learn how to do all that with her? How much of a threat will your I-no be? If I-no lost that, she’ll be a shit character. I-no ISN’T one of my best characters. ALong with what I have to master with her, I have to learn matchups, go through a lot of matches to learn how to utilize her in matches. That’s 23 MATCHUPS in case you didn’t know. Learn her good pokes, her mixups, pressure, her bad pokes, how to deal with pressure. You think that’s easy? That it’s some cake walk? That’s how I fucking know. And do YOU do shit? Who the fuck is Omega Raddish?
As for me NOT being at top level, listen here bitch: Not all of us have access to steady competition, not all of us have matches of us playing. Not all of us can go to whatever tourneys pop up whenever. It’s called having a life. And with life comes responsibities. There are other things that I have to do like I dunno… SCHOOL??? JOBS??! And don’t start on “well so and so goes to school and works and they stll go to tourneys.” Like I said before: not all of us have that chance. Even if I go to tourneys, I might win a few and lose a lot. Why? Because I don’t have access to great competition. You what my competition consists of? Testament, Slayer, Sol, Baiken, Potemkin, and Eddie. Three players: two per player. And some new Ky and Sol players. I’m not a “TOP PLAYER” because I lack experience. Yes, experience. ANOTHER thing you need to win. OMG, how do I know that? But since I do, I must be a top player:looney:. I play against, on a good day about 7 players. And they aren’t the best around here. Some of them are decent while others are new. They are learning and so am I. That’s why we have matches. TO GET BETTER. And what about the players who are BETTER than me who AREN’T top players? I guess they must not have any idea at all of what it takes to be good with their character right? I guess they must suck balls then? Because according to your ignorant dumbass, that would mean that if they went around saying with this character you need to be able to do A and B but they aren’t winning SBO and EVO, that would them players that don’t know shit right? GTFO.
There is no need to get nasty here you are right we all wish to have the competition that the better players have daily but it can’t always happen but that isn’t a reason to start getting profane. All you can do is play the best you can, You are luckier than me , I don’t have any human competition at all even though I can beat the game on a maniac difficulty setting but if I play a decent person I will very likely lose because of the lack of experience I have against real people. There are things we can’t help like school or work but there is no reason to get nasty because of it.
Anyway, yeah. Don’t bother learning I-No until you master her basics. Which are the equivilant of “masterful advanced shit” with most other characters. Allow me to explain to you the process I learned her in!
Day 1: Okay Wow, I’m so excited! I’m going to play her serious! Okay… let’s try her basic combo! [2K -> 6P -> HS -> 9632146K]. … Oh. It won’t work on Sol… ;_; Or Order Sol… .__. I don’t know the character specific version of that. Oh well, let’s move on to practicing those FRC’s! twinkle in my eye
…
Week 1: AKLJASRJ:AGJAKLJLK:JASL:KADAKL:ALKSAUOHR:KANT:KUAHV:LKJSF:KHASL:DJAD FOAMING AT MOUTH
Month 1: Okay, I can finally do her basic combo 100% of the time in training mode. Now, let’s uncover the mysteries of her dash cancel overhead / lows, and how to do damage to every character!
Month 1, week 3: Well … She really lacks any confirmable hit combos from mid-screen pokes, her mid-screen pokes suck balls, and her main attacks are kinda slow … Well, she relies 100% on her okizeme. Good thing it is so strong. Now, let’s learn how to do fast fall VCL’s!
As I’ve posted NUMEROUS times about AC I-No, and how she is very … weak, in my mind. I LOVED Slash I-No. She had great damage, her mid-range game was beefy, and she could get knockdowns from high damage combos. Her okizeme was better because of Koichi K, and IMO, a better note.
Now, she can’t build guard meter from notes, her notes are more useful for spamming and preventing movement, but worse (?) for okizeme. Her mid-range game is severely lowered in terms of damage potential off reaction, and just about everything that made her fun to play in Slash was neutered.
So… why put tons of effort into a character that is so terribly gimped (for no reason!)? I’d learn Venom, who is excellent on Okizeme as well, and can do better damage. Yes, he’s “complex”… but not as complicated as I-No is in AC.
Not to mention certain match-ups with I-No are seriously too hard. >_<
well venom is as complex as you want him to be, personally he’s more a character that is stylized to your taste. You don’t need to do “elite advanced” shit if you defense is really strong. I-no is a one style character and you have to get her shit down or she becomes even more lacking. I agree that her notes are mostly a method to get close and put inbetweenn pokes for tricks…kinda sucks
yes, people know I-no is difficult to grasp But the way he came off saying YOU CANNOT WIN OR EVER DO SHIT IF YOU DON"T DO what the fuck ever just pissed me off to the point because where does someone who isn’t doing shit have the right to speak about what it takes to play a character to the best of their (the characters) ability. Basically this is the one straw that broke the camels back because it gets thrown around too much around here (lack of knowing what the fuck their saying) yet thinking they have the experience to tell others what to do. When in actuality everything they say, is taken from people who DO know what their saying, just with less understanding. Now saying “you can’t be successful with I-no” isn’t something only good players know is true. But it’s almost like hearing “I-no’s j.p is her best AA” by someone who knows what their talking about, then some random kid on gamefaqs sees it and responds to a thread…on gamefaqs, when someone wants to know how to be successful with I-no in the air, answering their question, but with no clue why j.p is what he should be using. It’s like a pyramid. People who understand and trust what their saying, then people who understand but aren’t quite there, then people who just read it, take it as it is, without understanding and run with it.
yea, who the fuck IS Omegaraddish? dunno
heh, your flipping out is just making you look bad. I said what I said, and you not having comp or being able to travel because of the “INFUCKINGFAMOUS EXCUSE/COP OUT” "I have a life. good job on that whole life thing. What does it consist of? banging chicks?making money in a office doing the whole 9-5 thing?going to school? Woe is you buddy, I understand your in the worst situation in life and have no way out:rolleyes:. Not like anyone just sits at home and has no responsibilities except to learn character specific combos all day:rolleyes:You have a life, and thats why I should feel sorry that you shouldn’t be talking about toptier GG to anyone when you can’t take the advice yourself.
no hate on my part, but as I said, i’m a bit tired of hearing people who have no right to speak on anything GG related put their two cents in. Thats like me seeing Michael Jordan helping a kid on his jumpshot, and going up and saying, “Hey Mike, thats good, but I know that he should really be doing ___”
The “advice” as you put it, I do take myself. I take all the advice I can get. It’s reason I joined SRK and Dustloop. I’m not trying to be like “if you don’t know this, you’ll never win.” If it came off like that, sorry. I just posted something that is important to her gameplay that’s all. Being able to be great at FRCing her HCL is important. I’m not trying to be all “I know everything about whoever.” I know something and I posted it that’s all. It’s like if someone posted “What FRC is important to Sol?” I would say: “Gunflame.” And list reasons as to why it’s important, which I did learn myself. Not from other top players.
The way you came off was “YOU DON’T KNOW SHIT IF EVERYBODY AND THEIR MOM DON’T KNOW YOUR NAME. I DON’T SEE YOU WINNING TOURNEYS. WHAT THE HELL DO YOU KNOW? NOTHING. GTFO. YOUR NOT SOME FAMOUS TOP PLAYER. AND IF YOUR NOT A TOP PLAYER YOU AIN’T DOING SHIT.” If one of your friends asked you about a game character they were interested in and you pointed out important factors in that character, and someone said:“what do you know? You can’t say shit. I don’t see you doing anything. Leave that to top players. Keep your mouth shut.” How would you take it? Is the fact that your name isn’t known automatically mean that whatever you know is NULL and VOID?
I get why you got pissed. I never meant for what I posted to come off the way it did to you and I’m not some jackass from Gamefaqs boasting like I know everything about GG, like you, I don’t like those people. If someone asks a question and you know something, aren’t you gonna answer? And for the record, I have nothing against you personally.
Eddie is hard to beat =( since his pressure is so damn strong and if he doesnt have his shadow, he can just run away and bingo! he has his shadow meter again
Eddie is so broken but…well no point on complaining. Luckly there arent GOOD eddie users in my area…thou theres one baiken that…whoa hard to beat.
The thing is, many characters may be considered broken, but with enough skill and inteligence, one can be a beast no matter who did you pick as your character (ask Koichi and Bleed)
That’s crazy, I had a match like that. Except, I didn’t go for IK…I thought the activation time increased so people could mash out? I had no idea it was such a bad matchup until looking at dustloop, why is this? I have some ideas, but i don’t know since i have rarely used May against I-no.
