I have this re-dizzy combo with sol in the corner…Wonder if its known.
Does sol have any known infinites?

Nope. It’s for the Japanese GGX PS2 version only. Titled “Guilty Gear X Plus”. NA gamers don’t have the benefits of Justice and Kliff,gallery mode, combo practice, story mode WITH ENDINGS, and natually…the gold characters.

Yeah - The Zato being ranked that low has gotten alot of mixed results. Most players think he should be higher. But remember, May has that annoying infinite in the corner that is very easy to set up so that helps her ranking for sure. I haven’t ever seen a Zato infinite unless it can be done with FDC.:slight_smile:

GGX button layout

Does anyone know the true arcade button layout for GGX? I know the dreamcast is in a sqaure, but is the arcade like this? It’s alot harder to FDC with that damn square layout. Also, does anyone know an easy way to FDC without accidentally throwing out a super or special move. I like Venom but it seems like when I FDC with him and have a super charged. The super win come out instead. :bluu:

How do you get a super when trying to FDC?

Here’s the FAQ I read. I thought you had to do a dash in the middle regardless. Thanks for letting me know you don’t have to perform a dash at the same time as the guard. When I would charge down back and then hit towards back then towards really fast, it would register the EYE super for venom. Thanks for the help. I hate when I read a faq that makes things more complicated than it really is.

How to do it: Well, you should already know that FC is done by chaining a normal move into a sweep, then inputting FD immediately after the sweep is supposed to come out. What you may or may not already know is that you can dash by quickly inputting 646 on the joystick. Using this knowledge, you can then FCD by doing the following:
move->sweep->hold P+K->646
e.g. with Millia: 2K->2HS->1S+HS->hold P+K->646
If you do it correctly, you should see your character cancel their move and go into a dash without delay. This works because if you are holding P+K, you will go into FD any time you input a backwards motion.

That’s for FCD, not FDC. FCD is like normal FDC except you immediately come out of it with a dash. That’s why it’s more complicated and much more useful. So nothing was made more complicated than it actually was.

He actually has a semi-infinite. It’s HSxxEddy Saw, dash up HS, Eddy Saw, repeat until Eddy bar is empty, then Dust and continue from there. I’ve never actually pulled off the Dust on anyone, but that semi-infinite works like a charm. :stuck_out_tongue: Otherwise just stick to his drill traps.

Heh, heh. That infinite with Gold Zato would work b/c he has infinite eddy. And set up more than one eddy drill around the screen.

Btw, about the Golden Jam. She can link three of the same kicks in a row, as opposed to a normal Jam which can link only one to another.

Two dragon kicks=half of anyones life, b/c it’s charged, and she has attack up. =o

Well, the only character I use JI combos with is Chipp, cuz he needs them to do substantial damage. Sol has one that I occasionally use with Grand Viper. If you do QCB, UB+S for Grand Viper, it buffers in a JI. Then you RC at the very last hit, and do The Rest(j.S, JC, j.S, j.HS, HS Volcanic Viper). Johnny and Dizzy don’t really need them, and Millia can use them easily (almost all of her normals are JCable), but she has little use for them.

I’d like to hear your combo, but chances are that Japan already knew about it. Go ahead and post it, though.

Only two Sol infinites I know of are his super-easy Dragon Install infinite (dash, s.S, s.HS, repeat), and his FCD infinite (s.K (1hit), c.HS, FCD, repeat).

Yup. And he’s FASTER. And his tension charges quickly, too. He’s much cheaper than he was before. Infinite Eddy lockdown. Oooh yeah.

But even that is no match for Gold Sol, or Gold Johnny. Or even Gold Dizzy and Justice. They’re all sped up to the point of ludicracy, and their attack power is MONSTEROUS. And Dizzy has the EASIEST infinite in gold mode. Easier than Baiken in GG1s Yousansen infinite.

may inifinity is meet them in air with j.k > j.hs land repeat. something like that there are ways to setup as well, like RR, then rc
sol got bandit revolver loop as well
axl got axl bomber loop and does more damage then ggxx axl bomber loop

The May loop (j.k,j.h land repeat) isn’t infinite due to gravity afaik. However, it wa damn awesome. =) Over head kiss into short dash j.s,h, land ,j.k,h, land repeat to the corner took like 50% which is nuts for a throw. I seem to remember hearing about an infinite command grab with Anji, but I neer found out whether that was true.
