GGX and GGXX everything

GGXX for DC? Oh man, I hope to God that’s true.

EDIT: I just checked the GameFAQs Dreamcast release list (which is usually dead-on) and it doesn’t have GGXX listed for an October release.

Well, I was just stuck that game in the DC to try some shit out. I don’t play the game much so I wouldn’t know if you can flip out of this stuff or not, here goes…

This works anywhere:
Hit them with d.HS into the dp glove grab, after a few hits RC, s. HS into dp HS grab, RC it again, s. HS into another dp HS grab, add the extra damage with hlfc away and HS. Looks neat.

anywhere:
Hit them with d.HS into the dp glove grab, after a few hits RC, s. HS into his air super, qcf+p to hit on the ground. half life.

I was trying some other shit but I’m certain you can flip out of it, if not then DAM!! Like I said, I don’t know shit about this game so don’t take my words as gospel:)

GGXX has been announced for ps2, not dreamcast.
I have a question. I got ggx a few weeks ago, and I just got a mas stick in. Now, I’ve been practicing a bit, but I want to know, what does the arcade button set up look like? I don’t want to play with one button set up and then find the game in an arcade and be completely screwed up with a different layout.

…it depends on your arcade man

does anyone else have this set-up at their arcade?

I believe that’s the same layout the official GGX cabinets use. And for the console version of GGXX…flaunts her Japanese PS2

y u gotta be like that kuro… thats cold

Anyone know any usefull things for May? I just started useing her this week.

She holds a big anchor. Hit people with it and they will eventually die. That’s about all I know with her.

clever, wow great! Thanks, that helps alot!

Jam

Yeah, that F+HS is BIG DAMAGE. You can almost always chain that move into that QCF+P move.

Jam is definately not up my alley. I couldn’t tell you much about her except from what I’ve seen in vids. I’ll look at a tourney tape I have and see what I can come up with for you. It might take a little while until I get the tape back and review it.

I do know she can chain all 3 of her kick specials together in a row. Dash in low K-> st. S X2 -> st. HS (2 hits) ->flying kick ->(any combination of 3 kick specials) After the flying lick knocks them up, you can add 2 more special kick moves in different combinations. There are many different combinations you can choose.

She is a real good character. VERY powerful for being a quick character. You should almost always do a power-up move whenever you sweep them since it will give you time and not have to worry about being hit in the process.

Sol, Potemkin, Axel, and Venom are my main focus right now.

Holy shit

Damn boy, it’s about time you put that game in. Those RC combos are cool as shit.

Here’s a REAL COOL, REAL BIG combo I just did with him. I tried it on Potemkin first and it worked so I tried Sol to see if it worked on a small character and it still worked.

NOTE: You can recover out of this combo between the QCF+P hop punch -> air grab. It’s still a cool combo to do though.

Here it is folks. 18 hits.

In Corner: 316 damage on Sol. 440 is full life bar.
Jump-in HS -> low HS -> HS air grab -> get extra power hit (QCB + P) -> RC into towards + HS -> QCF + P hop punch -> air grab -> get extra power hit -> RC again -> towards + HS -> 3rd air grab -> add extra power hit -> sweep when they hit the ground.

Holy shit folks. I just tried it on Chipp just for the hell of it and it works on him too. It’s real hard to get the 3rd air grab, but you can get it. The combo is 18 hits and does 390 damage. (440 is full life)

Stevefly - Damn buddy, this guy is Devastating, Obliterating, ummmm…

Damn this game is fun.

Potemkin super combo

Here’s a couple more neat combos but they can be recovered from unfortunately.

I tried it on Chipp and it does 412 DAMAGE / 440.

In corner:
Jump in HS -> low HS -> Air grab -> QCB+P power hit -> RC into towards + HS -> QCF+P hop punch -> low HS -> Super throw -> sweep on the ground.

Another cool one for the corner.
Jump in HS -> low HS -> air grab -> QCB+P for power hit -> RC into towards + HS -> QCF+P hop punch -> low HS -> air grab -> QCB+P power hit -> RC into towards + HS -> QCF+P hop punch -> (QCF+P hop punch OR back+towards HS scissors pucnch) when they are on the ground.

HERE’S ANOTHER ONE THAT CAN’T BE RECOVERED FROM. I only got to try it on Potemkin so far.

Corner:
Jump-in HS -> low HS -> air grab -> QCB+P power hit -> RC into towards + HS -> another air grab -> QCB+P power hit -> RC again into another towards+HS -> QCF+P hop punch -> (sweep or another hop punch )on the ground.

Anyone know any ggx machines in the philadelphia area? I don’t think university pinball has one, but I haven’t been there in a while.

Could I possibly get some combos for Anji/Baiken?

I can’t wait for GGXX, Bridget’s got my cracked style of playing written all over him. I can see noone using him and me just spending countless hours trying to master him.

Anyone know if Chinatown Fair has gotten GGXX in? Also, what of RC in GGXX? I heard it’s been adjusted/modified to replace the FDC of GGX?

Dr. Baldhead

I’m really needing some help with Faust. I’ve been experimenting with him for 2 hours now and haven’t come up with a damn thing. I’m having a hard enough time actually finding gattling combos for him that work consistantly. Any suggestions/strategies?

Holy shit

That combo there is basically what I was trying midscreen without the extra damage glove attack and just using the s. HS instead of towards HS, I knew you would be able to flip out though. Right now I’m just gonna focus on midsrceen combos, since they will see more use. Does anybody have any tips with Anji-Mito, combos or basic strats?

On my mas stick at home how should I set my buttons? Judging by what people say the arcade set up is like, I made X->Punch, Square->Kick, Triangle->Slash, R1->HSlash. So it looks like:

__O___K S HS
______P

has anyone here tried the GBA version of ggx? i downloaded it from GBX it kicks ass i havent tried the real version yet but i despretly searching for it. Does the dreamcast version have a color edit mode? just wondering.
