GGX and GGXX everything

the eternal question

Jam versus Sol, Sol versus Jam?

who would win, Hmmmm?

seems to me that they’re essentially the same, with positives and negatives, Jam may be faster but Sol deals out more damage, i usually use Jam but im not even close to being as good as any of you, so my thoughts may or may not be disregarded, i think that they’re essentially the same, it only matters who is behind the sticks.

Sol is my favorite character and I play with him all the time. The only thing I can never figure though is how to use his command throw effectively?

the eternal question

Well, their overall damage potential is about the same, honestly. Jam has good, strong combos and her FCD infinite, so she can deal out about as much damage as Sol can if the player can do her combos correctly.

It’s got decent range and priority, so you should use it in your mindgames. Make them block something and run up and throw them, or empty jump throw them, or tick throw with FCD. If you get the throw, you get a free air combo afterwards.

When?

It’s real good to use if you notice that your opponent tends to block alot instead or trying to counterhit you. If they block a few combos then it’s a perfect oppurtunity to grab them. Just dash in like your going to do a gatling combo and do the command grab. It will even beat the first few frames of your oponnents regular moves. If you are real good at FDC. You can FD the low HS into an immediate dash into the grab. Make sure you do the low HS ->air combo after the command grab. Slipping in the command grab now and then will play mind games with your oponnent. They will be more prone to get nailed by a gatling combo or super thinking that they might not be able to block (because of the command throw) and try to poke out an attack. It’s also good to use if you block an oponnents early attack from the air. If they throw their attack to early, you can block it then command throw them when they land. Just be careful of them jumping out of it. Even if they do jump out, you should be pretty safe since it’s miss animation is pretty short.

alright I got the wav’s to work, had to dl every song for GGX, then convert’em to wav’s, and then figure out the file names, I’ll post list of file name’s for anyone who want’s to tamper with the music for ggx, like adding in ggxx music or something.

it’s not as stressing as MvC2 or CvS2 music changing, but now, I’m a pro at that shit

People on the thread known as the “Boston thread” are saying GGXX doesn’t require any skill. Check the last pages.

I can’t say anything on it yet, have yet to play it, but I’m waiting for the release date, 2/03 right?

last i heard, Feb 4th is the release date

though i recommend you check your local stores in advance

i found out ONLY compUSA has it in its computers as coming soon. EB, Gamestop, and Best Buy have no listing for it

What are they (Boston players) smoking? The game takes more skill than any other fighter I’ve played.

Usually those who think opposite are people who played as Sol for 5 minutes and decided it was stupid from that. He’s supposed to be ridiculous. But I challenge anyone to find a game that has more complex characters than Venom or Bridget.

Has anyone here played the first Guilty Gear?

hey guys, i’m trying to dl some matches from mirc… besides some player named faith, who else is known to have a good Ky?

i have

its no tourney game, but its a fun diversion

Help me on how to play I-no. General strats, combos, etc.

someone please make two new threads seperating these games, thanks.

oh yeah, make a new thread and don’t make it just cuz you want to start a thread. open a new one with some combos, strats or basic stuff, thanks.
