Willing to spec as well. It is possible for specs to record inputs which makes it easy to then replay the match and record it at leisure. This means that we can save replays on ggpo and supercade.
I was actually going to suggest Mondays and Thursdays. We can try it tomorrow though I don’t have a random hat generator for matches yet.

Yes you may use more then one character, keep in mind that every character is treated as a new player so you will start from 1st Dan with that character.

One thing that I’m not clear on from the Japanese battles- When you win, you play until you lose. What happens after you lose? Also, what determines the “end” of a single day danisen battle?
