It keeps going in and out. Not the biggest loss. At least you have Supercade as a backup. Plus the GGPO 3S community are made up of trolls and retards.

True, but all of them are available on Supercade and the netcode is about the same. Just not as many people. I remember playing Real Bout 2 on Supercade with a guy in Japan and it was pretty good.

I dunno, the 3S community has been good to me for the most part, and I’m a scrub in that game.
I admit that I don’t participate in chat as much as everyone else does though.
I usually find those guys in the 3S, ST, MVC rooms. The Vampire Savior room (my home) is always filled with nice folks. Hardly any problems on our end.

Yea, from my understanding, basically what it is is someone constantly loading the site over and over at very high frequencies. (like 1000 times a second or something) Not exactly sure all the technical stuff, but you can see how that would cause lag and issues and make everyone suffer. The shitty thing is there is really nothing that anyone can do , except systematically block all the site queries from the spammers which isn’t as simple as running some program like you would do to stop a virus or something like that.
also, Looking at the 2 ggpo pages on facebook there is a bit of talk about lack of donations? GGPO | Facebook and the last posts from GGPO were in january
edit- after typing in the URL for the forums the site eventually loaded after like 10 minutes. Clicked tech support forum and it gave connection timed out error.
so considering that I got on the other day and played and the site is still loading. This means someone is fucking with their bandwidth. DDOS attack is very likely… Look some bots registered to the site…
