Good job I saw this. Just installed GGPO on Windows 7 the other day and I wasn’t able to connect. I know my shit is forwarded in my router, so I presumed it was something whack with Windows 7 (since I turned it’s firewall etc off). I’ll try it again later.

BTW Zero1 I run GGPO with Windows 7 Pro and it runs great. Don’t forget Windows 7 has 3 firewalls. I have the Domain firewall turned off and have the Private profile to allow inbound connections that do not match a rule. The Public Profile is on with the recommended settings.

100% chance the source of the attack is from China, just like all the previous DoS attacks on GGPO. Probably some disgruntled KoF player who also controls a botnet.

Thanks I’ll look into that. I’ve only had Windows 7 for a few days and I’m still using Linux as my main OS right now. I’m all for new/better OS, but I wish they wouldn’t move shit around. It’s supposed to be more user friendly, but for people like me who have been running XP forever, some of the changes seem a little dumb. It’s kind of like they made it so user friendly that you have to be an idiot to find what you are looking for.

My dad said that I can’t forward ports 6000-6009 and 7000 for GGPO because he thinks that it will make our computers less safe, is this true?
