GGAC SBO '09 Qualifiers Discussion Thread

It has now been confirmed that GGAC will be at SBO next year (2009) and will retain its 3vs3 format. Last year, there was a heated debate on how the qualifiers were run. The community, as a whole, deemed that the qualifiers were not run fairly and wanted a more balanced and fairer qualifier.

This thread’s purpose is to discuss when, where, and how the qualifiers should be run for next year’s SBO. Do not discuss how last year’s qualifiers were run, as that is the past, and we should now be focusing on the future qualifiers for GGAC.

The faster the community decides how the qualifiers should be run this year, the better chance the community has at getting a qualifier they believe to be fair.

In light of last year’s debate, John Choi had offered to be the liaison for the US GGAC community and SBO staff. As long as we can come to an agreement on when, where, and how the qualifiers shall be run, he’ll work with the community and SBO staff to assure qualifiers will be run fairly and smoothly this year.
