Its on its way to me from gamefly and I actually just remembered that I had an old PS2 to GC convertor that luckily my Wii recognizes. (My custom doesn’t work for Melee because it needs analog, but i’m betting GG will do nicely)
Wii version has that dumb easy FRC thingy, but AFAIK it can be disabled.
Other than that Wii version is arcade perfect IIRC. The only downside is that tournaments use the PS2 version so you’ll have to get adjusted to playing on a PS2 stick if you want to play competitively.
I have a gamecube adapter, but its not recognizing the stick. Is there a specific setting I have to change? When I switch the key config to gamecube it doesn’t allow me to actually adjust anything, its all greyed out.
Sorry to kind of highjack the topic, but I didn’t feel an extra thread was neccessary.
I was considering getting Guilty Gear XX AC for Wii when it is released in PAL (lol, March 9th). Just a quick question though.
I’ve heard that GG is a very technical fighter, and if I bought the game with only the Classic Controller, could it still be played to its limits? I mean, I don’t plan to be the best in the world at it, but will I be at a severe disadvantage compared to the PS2/arcade stick options? Can I get to a high skill level with the Classic Controller, or is it inferior to the other options? Thanks.
What he said. That saying the Classic Controller is probably the best first party controller I’ve ever used for a fighting game as the combos and everything else can be performed easily on it (takes a little time due to getting sore thumb, but you get used to it). Then again this is coming from someone who’s never owned a SEGA Saturn.
