Lets face it, our beloved Asuka can’t get in to save her life. I personally have no safe way of doing so without dashing in or jumping in. Anyone have any good strategies for getting in? Something that does not involve having to tag her in?
Have someone else on point. It’s a team game after all. At this point, you might have to simply accept that using someone else to open up your opponent might be the more viable thing to do.
Oops forgot to clarify,Asuka is always always always second. I put anyone in front. Using Lili right now. Regretting that a bit too.
I say pick someone you can easily tag cancel into upkicks.

Either way, SFxT is a game where I am DEFINITELY not afraid to time out if I have the lead. It’s much easier milking a lead an punishing an opponent’s mistake in this game than opening a character up with Asuka on the field. Here’s what I do though:

Once Asuka has meter, she becomes dangerous, it’s a fact. And if there’s no need to get in there, then my personal opinion is not to worry about it and pubish them for their mistakes.
If I am behind and need a comeback with Asuka, its still a super patient game of just walking outside their range footsies. Honestly, I’m not looking to whiff punish but you probably can with her sweep, but instead I’m looking for lulls in button presses to time a safe spot to b.MP ~ d.MK CADC into pressure.
Also, if you’re playing a heavy neutral game, it would help to have an counter hit stored by charging and dash cancelling. It makes your opponents more weary of the air approach since one air CH leads to huge damage.
Just curious… Why b.MP~d.MK CADC instead of b.MP~MK CADC?
b.MP ~ d.MK connects even if the tip of b.MP hits. If you do b.MP ~ s.MK at b.MP’s tip, you whiff a s.MK like a fool x_x
Both are CADCable to good frames as well

But I agree with you about Asuka, her normals are just so bad. Her best poke is like Cr, MK/S.MK and the range is ass.
I agree with everyone, put her in 2nd, build meter, tag combo her in, and let them come to you so you punish their impatience or mistakes.
the b.MP~d.MK string has a gap in it that they can reversal through so I wont recommend going for that honestly.
My personal way in is just usually walking in to tempt the opponent to hit buttons to keep me out, then the counter comes in play. Basically my whole gameplan is to get them scared of throwing out limbs when Im walking forward, counter/upkicks,s .MK~d.MP among other things can be used to do that, depends on the opponent/character/playstyle.
Not the best strategy but its been working out for me so far =P
214 + punch or QCB punch goes through fireballs, this is for the normal and ex version and you can combo off of the ex version wall bounce.
They’re pretty unsafe on block though, I think any of the 3 hits are punishable so be careful.
