i was starting to wonder wat had happened to doctor b.
also the reason we get older, the other guy who explained it is right. its like a shoelace, when you get older the ending of the shoelace (the cells resemble shoelaces) get looser. once there is not much left to hold the cell together the cell deteriorates i believe. on the doc i saw they were inserting fresh new cells in on rat once in a while and not in the other rat from the same litter (?). after inserting with the iv the rat would get a small shock so the bloodcells would break loose and afterwards attach to the cells again thus also attaching to the newly inserted cells (something like this, doc was soo long ago). after 2 or so years, the rat that didn’t get the shots was all tires and grey, lost some of its hair etc. the other rat was bristling with energy running its cage with a full bush of black hair.
what’s so great about this new tech compared to the one i mentioned? this was like 10 years ago or something. shame they never released any other info about this afterwards.

The real issue from this will come from the fact that it’ll further complicate the overpopulation problem. Not to mention the massive social unrest that’s likely to occur between the haves and have nots.
Your cells are constantly replicating. After about 52 times of that they start mutating, and that’s why you age, among other reasons. If anybody ever figured out why that happened, it is possible they could unlock the secret to immortality.
However I agree we have an overpopulation problem and I personally doubt it will even be that simple.
I think people fail to understand just how stupid and incompetent the human species is. Virtually all of our technology is us harnessing the power of nature in some way. Electricity is not something we invented as humans, it’s a natural occurrence we then took. The same with oil obviously, coal, and even all the radio waves we have are just the use of something in nature. Microwaves are just a natural phenomenon we are harnessing. The most powerful force we can think of is nuclear, and that is also a natural occurrence we are attempting to control.
I don’t believe we will advance in this type of research without dumb luck.
Don’t forget the potential “Gattaca” problem too, serp’s misgivings notwithstanding.
