Over the past several god-knows-how-long, I’ve been doing mostly MSPaint work…and lately I’ve been in a huge slump because of no motivation or ideas. But aaaahhh I might as well try to get back into drawing stuff. Here’s a little something I did yesterday. Call it “fanservice”. ;B
give me back my stencil:wonder:
nice lines! my only real suggestion would be that Q’s pose doesn’t give enough “umph” as much as chunbuns is implying
you better update this thread though
Good line variation and poses. Couple of things that can make the impact alot stronger.
The position of the legs you have q in right now feels weak. When you punch with your right hand you don’t usually extend your right leg forward, you use your left. His arms can use more flow also. Right now it’s also weak. Overall i like the rest. Good job.

Thanks for the critique/compliments. And yeah, I’ll agree that the pic doesn’t have quite as much impact as it’s supposed to be portraying. The reason why the the stance is wrong is because I used a still from the frames of SA2 and simply didn’t pay attention to the rest of the animation. My bad, haha. The arms felt weak too because I made the punching forearm a little too low and the fist didn’t exactly curve up.
I guess you can say I was relying a little too much on my references instead of visualizing how the bodies would work and react to this situation. Admittingly this was just to try and improve my inking as I’ve always thought it was lacking, based on past pictures.
Here’s another pic I did today. Ehhh I have a bad case of the block, so please excuse me for the pretty dull pic. I’ll color this in once I get access to a scanner.
Haha I like the idea. Not dull at all. No chuns can ever stack up to 3s Chun.
Something you might wanna do for the legs is throw more curves into them. The whole leg should have an S curve. And try not to have opposing curves, but offset them instead. You can read about it here: http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=255700
Good stuff man, looking forward to seeing more.
