I’ve been getting every form of Marco’s DP break except the dp/break (with opponent in air) dp/break. I don’t see the timing on the second dp/break as the opponent is in the air and a (light punch) dp will reach it’s apex when the second break occurs.
Marco has fast become my fav char. I can spend an hour or so a day just in training mode doing his combos. I think I finally found my main for garou, but when I watch high level play I am still soo far behind those guys it almost makes me sad lol.
The timing doing the break off a counter hit is the same as when you are doing it on the ground on hit. If you are too far from them the :dp: + :snka: might not hit close enough to cause a juggle state. If you run into a situation when the :dp: + :snka: wont reach use the :dp: + :snkc: version instead to create that juggle opportunity. This also applies on the ground if you are using normals that create too much pushback, for example a stand :snkc:/:snkd: the :dp: + :snka: will hit but not create a juggle state. Reason that happens is because Marco’s dp’s have to make contact on the center of a sprite to create the juggle state. If you hit a limb or any other part outside their center you’ll likely not create a juggle state. Again if you are having problems with timing his breaks just practice all possible situations when you’ll like use them. AA, block strings, on hit, etc.
That tier list is old now. It hasn’t been updated since '08. Not mention they base that tier list on tournament results. Rock is better than Tizoc as far as options go. It all really comes down to how well the person knows the character and the match up.
So basically Kevin and Grant are tied at the top with Kain only 1 point lower with Jenet and Gato 3 points lower? That makes pretty good sense. I knew Kain was going to be a little higher than his earlier outings at mid/lower mid tier. He seems to have good keep away (if not the best) and pretty damn good rush down and alot of his ways to do damage are pretty safe and have great ways of setting up. Watching the tourney videos you can easily see how Grant has moved up from the old tier listings. Grant is a beast. With Jenet going down a bit, on the vids she seems to have alot of trouble with someone who can guard cancel or JD vs her air kicks. If they can’t do that she can pressure them really well, but if they can’t cancel on her it’s a different match. I think people at the highest level have learned to deal with those kicks much better. I dunno about Dong being over Marco thou. The difference between those two is 8 points, which is alot. You think thats true? Dong and Jae are only 1 point in difference, which makes sense, because I never thought Jae was that much better than Dong. Terry sure has taken a nose dive wow. Are Jae and Dong really better than him? Otherwise this does look pretty good (from my limited knowledge). I can see how Rock would be lower than Tizoc.
I’m having issues with Hotaru’s crossover combo. Can anyone help?
I know you do a deep jump in D then her 3c which puts her in her… blah funk the name. Puts her in her standing stance with her back to the opponent. From there I’m lost for I believe it “D” to do her launching kick and some other moves lol.
Anyways any extra help would be nice. Nocturnal where ya at.? You need to kick my ass on this game on 360 for a few rounds so I can learn more. Also will you be able to make it to EVO?
thats a neogeo battle Colosseum combo i imagine. she doesn’t have stances in this game. she can also change the side she’s facing in the air with C+D which makes crossups simple, though she can cross up normally too.
Cool, thanks EmptyShiki and yeah i meant on NGBC.
I had to many tabs open and when I saw the top post it was asking about NGBC so I asked my question based on it. lol
If anyone if going to EVO I along with my boy Macc are trying to host some snk game tournaments on Saturday.
Garou is one of the games. Hopefully we get enough people to run it.
I was thinking of using the fact it is my birthday on the 10th to possibly sway a few heads…lol
I doubt it but who knows.
It’s not possible because Grant’s rush move causes air fall counter hit. The training mode on both PS2 and 360 don’t produce real counter hits like they should in game. If you play the game normally though it will produce the accurate counter hits like they should happen. It’s a training mode bug. The only way you’ll get the counter like that is if you hit them on the ground with a normal to cause a ground body turn counter hit. Then it would be would possible to dash in and do stand :snkd: link to :d: + :snka: then super.
