I seem to have major problems against terry… anyone have some suggestions for me and my scrubby B. Jenet?
By you being as sexy as Jenet you can play her more effectively. lol
No, but seriously here try this:

I’ve gone through that a few times… I need vs. Terry strategies he’s like my kryptonite in this game.
What exactly is the Terry player doing that you are having problems with? Maybe if you record the match or relpay that could make things easier in spotting the problem.
I’ll see if I can record some matches tonight. the big things are: what’s a good anit-air against his jumping b, ways to get out of his pressure string… i don’t know it just seems like Terry has a lot of priority over B… I may just need to play against more top level terry’s in order to figure it out.
If they are jumping in a lot with his :snkb: then either go for:
-Early air grab with jump :snkc:. If you know it’s coming you’ll beat them out always. This is so good agains’t people who jump in a lot or even those that tend to jump up on top of you during your get up. Even if the air grab doesn’t come out her jump :snkc: is a 2 hit jump normal. So they either will get hit, have to JD it or it will trade with their normal.
-Early jump up :snka:/:snkb: with Jenet. Really good range with her jump :snkb: and priority. Depending on the distance I would switch between the two. Worst thing that could happen is you’ll probably trade with Terry if he’s close enough to you while you do it. Though for the most part it should win in the trade or beat it out clean.
-GC into her kick super. Pretty common to do this if they tend to jump in a lot.
-JD and GC into her TOP attack or :qcf: + :snkb:. This good for those Terry’s that like to small jump :snkb: a lot.
Terry does have really good offense and putting pressure on a lot of the characters. I would say Terry is probably the most well rounded character in game as far as match ups go. All I can really say is when you are playing Terry the most common things to watch out for are:
-Small jump attempts. Terry can do his break after all his low jumps for an easy free super afterwards. Keep your eye open for this.
-Low openings. Terry can combo from lows so always block/JD low when he’s close.
-Grab attemps (This is standard for everyone but yes keep an eye out for this cause it adds up eventually.)
-People tend to mash his break move (:dp: + :snkb:/:snkd:) a lot even during block strings so make sure you leave no openings in your block strings/combos. Same for his kick super. I tend to leave gaps between strings to see if they are mashing or not.
-Always option select tap down/back incase they try to stick something out as they are getting up from a knockdown. They will likely go for his break move or super if anything.
I wouldn’t worry too much about his block strings unless you are having problems countering the :r:x2 + :snkc: stuff. Just keep your eyes open for it when you see the start animation for it then :d: + :snka: + :snkb: to beat it. Best thing is to just JD as much as you can so you don’t get guard crushed in the end.
These are just common things to look out for when playing agaisn’t good Terry’s. Though there many different plays styles so some of these things might not work so well. The reply would be a big help though cause I can break down certain patterns you and your opponent tend to do.
If anyone is interested I’ve been keeping track of the Total Eclipse tournament blog. Here are some pics of the carts for the games that will be used at that tournament:

Here are the medals that will be awarded to the winners of each game:
I’ll post more pics and info if anything else comes up. Just a few more days till the tournament happens. I’ll keep you all posted once they announce the results or if any stream is going to happen.
only few days for a excitement tournament
another asia country players in this tournament
I have no idea if anyone else outside of Japan is going to enter. They haven’t posted any player list yet so we will have to wait until the day or whenever they post an entry list.
I think the second link under the title of each game in the menu on the right of the main site is the player list.
For MOTW here is the link: http://www.classic-evo.net/~eclipse/entry/index/gmow
Ah okay thanks for the link. Seems like most of the known players are already signed up. Though I see 777 on the entry list…maybe it’s a mistake. Didn’t think he played MOTW. If he does then he will probably pick Jae/Dong.
Also for fun I decided to translate the tournament rules for MOTW:
-1 on 1, single elimination format.
-Game set to 2 out of 3 rounds. Pretty much default arcade match settings.
-All characters allowed.
-No character change allowed. Have to stay with same character through the whole tournament.
-Button layout change is allowed with the switch. Lets you switch between box layout and L layout on the arcade cabinet = http://www.classic-evo.net/~eclipse/common/material/btn.jpg
Edit: I just looked under the tournament schedule on the site and it appears they are a holding a East vs West 5 on 5 event for both LB2 and MOTW as well. They have pre-selected the players for each side. Should be good matches.
Im routing for ToiletMan
toiletman mm … is he a ggpo player???
where is mayu and charles wain ???
777 playing GAROU??? bizarre
Yea Toiletman is that Japanese Grant player that plays keep away on GGPO. I’ve only played him once but his keep away style is tough to handle. I’ll be keeping an eye out for any videos of this event. I want to see how the other players will handle his Grant.
The event has already started. So they are doing the 5 on 5 east vs west event today. They already started the LB2 5 on 5. I’ll keep you all posted on the outcome of the 5 on 5 for MOTW results.
Edit:
(Sorry about the translations on the names if they are wrong. If anyone knows the correct translations let me know and I’ll edit)
