Me and Giby are going to start saving up to go, but it all depends on how our school schedules are setup around that time. I also have to get my passport as well.

Pretty much all the practice I’m getting is from my occasional visits to a 20-min away Tilt. And it’s usually just my scrubby Rock getting whooped by comps. :sad:

I looked through the character threads and could not find info on the characters pros/cons. Could anyone please tell me the pros/cons for Kim Jae Hoon and B.Jenet?
I can list a few things that can help.
Pros:
-Good offensive type character overall.
-Fast :snka: normal with good priority. Same for his :d: + :snka:/:snkb: normals. He needs these to go into his high/low/throw mixups. Also his jump :snka:/:snkb: are both good for cross-ups.
-Easy combos overall, pretty straight foward. Besides his corner FC stuff. His combos do good damage overall.
-Good corner pressure. Since he has a dash instead of a run he has the option of continuing corner pressures easier combined with his FCs.
Cons:
-Doesn’t have many good anti airs overall. His break move (charge :d:, :u: + :snkb:/:snkd: is your best anti air option. Since it’s charge move it can be hard to pull off while someone is rushing Jae. His :d: + :snka: + :snkb: can also work but tends to get beat out by a lot of jump ins from the right angles.
-His specials and supers are risky overall. If you miss with any of them you’ll be getting punished bad. Though his :l:, :l: + :snkb:, which you can FC out of on hit/block is somewhat safe. It can still be risky to pull off in a match. It’s open to lows as well. Even his dick kick is risky because even though he can switch between overhead or low near the end, if the opponent guesses blocking correctly then Jae will be punished.
Pros:
-Another offensive type character.
-Has good normals overall.
-Has one of the best special moves in the game. Her dive kick. Safe on block if you time the hits then you can continue to keep them in block stun into her many mixups.
-Her combos are straight foward as well. Do decent enough damage. The corner is your best friend for combos.
-She has an air grab which is very good agains’t people who jump up a lot in the corner. That or it’s good agains’t JD happy people who JD when they jump in against you.
-She has good cross-ups with her jump :snkb:/:snkd:. If one doesn’t work on one character switch between them to see which works best.
-Her corner pressure is insanely good. In the right hands she can keep any character locked down in the corner, if you know their options of escape.
-Her kick super is a decent enough anti air, but it can get beat out depending on the normal they are using, when they jump in.
Cons:
-She has a hit bug which gives certain characters a lot more options to do longer combos on her. So she has to be very careful on what she tries to use to create openings.
-She can’t really take hits. She takes damage pretty hard.
-Her specials and supers are risky if they are blocked. Also make sure you never do her final hit of the dive kick on block. It will leave her wide open for a combo.
If there is anything else anyone wants to add please do. I probably forgot some stuff I’m sure.
I really wanna play Garou on 2DF but I keep getting this error message when I try to start the game up.
I tried downloading the rom from two different places and it still gives me the same error. Anyone know whats going on?
You need the neogeo.zip to run the game. Google has the answer.
I get the same thing when I tried to put FFS on there, dunno if it’s just 2DF or bad Roms in general. Would like to play Garou on there since my XBL version has crappy netplay.
Edit: Yeah, you need two for that, other games ask for two as well (SFIII for example). I blame bad Rom for my issue.

God Damn this game is fun. I was playing KoFXII on the weekend but since it is still mad broke, has a lot of rough edges and is generally annoying to play… booted up Garou again. Now that I finally know what to do, this game makes sense and is just so much more fun.
Criminally under appreciated. Since SNK kinda killed the KoF series, they should update this one now… SF4 style this time. I think garou’s gameplay and characters are some of the most fun and unique ones in 2D fighters
honestly though i would take anything that was motw 2, i would want art drawn and directed by tonko, i like the way the characters look and move more in motw than in any other game.
I wouldn’t like that at all. Maybe in popularity of SF4 that would be nice. Everything else including stuff presentation I wouldn’t really appreciate, but maybe that is just me. Or maybe I am missing something?
