Thanks dude, I remember hearing about how freeman and some other low tiers were winning some jap tournies before. I pressume the tiers in this game might closely reflect the level of balance in a game like SFT2 perhaps?
Edit: So here is just a estimate of it would be divided:
The tier list is always debatable and has changed over the years now with all the new things that keep getting discovered with certain characters. Even though certain characters are strong it doesn’t mean mid/low tiers can’t win the match. I can relate to how ST is as far as tiers go. In the end the person who is most skilled is usually the one who tops everyone else.
So as a estimate, would you say the best character in the game is probably around 3s dudley level and the worst character is probably around 3s necro level?
Here is a video of a new technique (well for most of everyone here at least) showing how to avoid throws during recovery frames from a blocked special. Enjoy.
Yikes it’s that bad, oh okay I probably should have read the intial page for that info…so much for my theory of good balance sigh…still a excellent game regardless.
damn that just made tizoc from shittiest character to even shittier. thats really fucked up for tizoc or any character that would be dependend on his big damage from throws and super throws. besides his ppower there aint a lot of things tizoc can combo. damn.
If you are in TOP mode you can do the shortcut with :snka: + :snkc: + :snkd: or :snkb: + :snkc: + :snkd: instead. This will cause your TOP attack to not come out while still storing the motion. Though besides that doing :d: + :snkc: into super isn’t too hard on it’s own. Just need to practice doing it but if you prefer using the storing method then use whatever works for you.
Just picked this up. And I must say, “Where have you been all my life?” I tried out more than half the cast before I found a character who didn’t immediately appeal to me. Feint-stuff and Breaking both seem crazy hard, but for a game this awesome, I’ll find a way to manage.
Right now I’m mainly playing Gato. Is his TOP attack as crappy as it seems, or am I just stupid?
Hey Noc you got any Dong strategies? I just picked him up and he is the most fun to play with by far IMO. I’ve seen some vids with him doing his air SPower twice and than come combo again for like 17 hits. You got any tips on how to pull this off?
No I suppose you’re right. Though Kevin builds meter like Yun and Tizoc is like Hugo how he depends on throws for damage. The tier list seems to always change so nothing is really set in stone from recent tournament results lately. As far as strenght goes though for sure Kevin, Gato, Jenet on top. Everyone else is mid and Tizoc is low. Even though Tizoc is even lower now I’ll still use him . Oh yea and get on AIM dammit heh.
If you are close to the corner you do a :dp: + :snkc: before they land on the ground, after the first 2 air supers.
That anti-throw technique is pretty neat, but it’s still kinda bogus looking at Tizoc whiff on what’s supposed to be free damage. Any idea what causes the TOP attack or super to make the anti-throw state, and who figured this crazy mess out?
jump A, C, either a standing D 1 hit or crouching C, or feint the first into the second one i mentioned. jump A, super, super, dp+C IIRC. motw been a damn long time since i played it. maybe too long.
i just wish this game had a part 2 with extra characters and extra moves for existing characters. besides KOF XII i hope snkp return with another new in hd 2d fighter. besides SS, FF would be my top choice. but would that be a motw 2 or rb3? honestly either would be fine by me. as long as some RB characters would return in motw2.
