"Get Ready...Survive!" The New Garou: Mark of the Wolves Thread

You can combo all of Marco’s ranbu super off a juggle actually, just has to be timed correctly. If you dont then yea it will make them fall and able to block/JD the rest.

Thanks a lot for the kind words. I do the best I can to answer most of all the questions as detailed as I can.

No, the first wave hits, the second whiffs and then the last few hits of the super hit as she rises off the ground like in her :dp:+:snkd:, and I actually think the last hit of the super doesn’t whiff but I can’t remember. Yes, it’s a waste of meter, it was just for completion’s sake I guess. I think it was wonderboy-bobi on 2DF who I saw doing that combo.

Also, thanks for the tips EmptyShiki - I think I just wasn’t playing her correctly (too aggressively, too many jump-ins) but I’m starting to get the hang of her now.

are you sure? i mean the true ranbu, meaning the multihit attack ending in dp. not the 5 fireballs to dp in downward kick. ieverybody knows about the level 4 or 5 juggle. i meant the lower levels in which he actually atttacks with punches and kicks.

Oh ok I thought meant the full charged one, my bad.

Hey I got a question about Terry’s far stand D. I swear a long time ago I saw match videos where someone would cancel this into specials like far D xx power wave. I’ve never been able to do it and I’m not sure if there’s just some trick to itor somehow I imagined it and I never really saw it happen. Can you really cancel his far standing D somehow? Maybe in the beta ROM or something?

On hit you can’t, but on block or a Just Defend you can cancel or feint his Far D. It’s actually like that for a lot of other normals too. Off the top of my head Rock, Freeman, Gato, and Marco’s Far D and Hotaru, Dong, and Jae’s Far C are the same way.

Yea it’s kinda weird like but for some reason normals that you can’t FC on hit you can on block/JD. I wouldn’t be suprised if the prototype version lets you cancel into it on hit but I’ve never messed around with the prototype version much.

probably to spice things up when attacking and opponent is turtling. it would have been overpowered and weird if it would have been possible on hit.

Here’s something with Jae Hoon:

Let’s say that you have you’re opponent cornered and knocked down. As he wakes up he’s eager to press buttons, so you sit there and use youre charge D, U+B/D, scoring a counter hit.

Now, how many additional flips can you do? I think I’ve seen about two more into kicksuper. Can anyone confirm this? Do you have to use the D-version of the following flips?

If you break the first one then you can do another one into break again, then the last one should be :d:, :u: + :snkd: into :d: + :snkd: or you can go into his :qcf:x2 + :snkb:/:snkd: instead. You can use any vesion of the charge kick when doing the break but I find myself using the :snkd: version more since it moves in a bit when Jae breaks it. If you want to get fancy you can also do charge :d:, :u: + :snkd: (for a counter hit in the corner), break, then stand :snka: into charge :d:, :u: + :snkb:, as soon as you land quickly do Jae’s :qcf:x2 + :snkb:/:snkd:. If you do it all correctly everything should connect as one combo.

Any tips for Jenet against Gato?

Well what is exactly that gives you problems when playing agains’t Gato?

Can’t deal with his rushdown. I get raped by dive kicks mostly.

i dont play jenet much but if you know the divekicks are coming you can GC or just anti air. dashback woohoo is probubly a good answer since that will probubly beat out most stuff especially outside of the corner. you can probubly be offensive in this matchup. if 2b beats his low jab like i think it does and your woo hoo beats everything but supers and GC.

The one main advantage Gato has over Jenet is over all better options into his supers and building meter. If you are playing Gato’s that do his :qcb: + :snkb:/:snkd:, :snkc: dive a lot either JD/out poke it with a jump up :snkb:. You can even just dash under it unless they are doing the :qcb: + :snkb:, :snkc: version, which doesn’t go too high. Besides the dive what other things do they rush you in with? If they run in a lot her :d: + :snka: + :snkb: has great range and should beat out any pokes Gato might try. Besides maybe his :d: + :snka: + :snkb: everything else should get hit/counter hit.

When you are cornered your best option is to etiher dash under them if they do jump up to try landing a hit. That or you if they are doing a meaty attack of some sort backdash into her dive or throw depending on what they are trying to do. More than likely they will try throwing you as they try a jump in and you backdash away. The dive kick would either hit them or counter hit them for the throw attempt. If you decide to throw them make sure you them behind you into the corner then set a :qcf: + :snka: fireball if they dont have meter. If Gato has meter he can beat out that meaty :qcf: + :snka: with his :qcf:x2 + :snkb:/:snkd: super. I usually tend to space the fireball so Jenet has room to walk in after it and not get hit by the supers hitbox. Just to be safe if they have meter just do the fireball and wait to see what they do instead. If they try the super then it’s a free opening for you.

I already did a write up for Jenet explaining what to use and do in certain situations. I still need to add some of TOP attack combos and options to it.

Besides all that just make sure to stay on top of your opponent and JD when you have nothing that is fast enough to beat out something.

I was attempting these, in one of the posts linked in the first post:

But I just can’t cancel/link D into anything… :xeye:
I could do j.C, close C, qcb+C(and so on rekka) though.
Any tips on that D? Maybe I’m reading it wrong… s.D = standing D right? In this case I assume close D, since I’m jumping in.

You cancel on the first hit of :snkd: not the second and it has to be a close :snkd:. Since close :snkd: hits 2 times but only the first hit you can cancel into a feint cancel/special/super. Yea s. D means standing :snkd:.

Awesome, thanks! I had tried to cancel it early a few times before, turns out I was just too slow in execution lol. Need moar stick practice

Has anyone got the official tier list to this game?

Tier list has been talked about but if you check the first post of this thread I put up links for the main ones mentioned. For the most part it’s usually a mix between Kevin, Gato and Jenet as really high everyone else mid and Tizoc low.
