finally got around to buying an arcade stick and was wondering which are the best(or most common) button setup for Garou
like…(SNK style)

Pick the one that works for you, everyone has their prefered style button layout for the game. I use the “L” shape layout which is:

I can also use the ones you posted as well but for me I prefer the “L” shape layout.
I use a Capcom layout, meaning;
A C X
B D X
A = Jab
B = Short
C = Strong
D = Forward
This is because I use a Namco Arade Stick (converting from a original Neo Geo-stick, that was pretty rough) and I play more Capcom games so I try not to confuse myself with my button layout to much.
But whatever you find most comfortable. I have some problems building meter with Kevin but it works okay if you get used to it. But my advice would be choose one type of layout and stick with it, you don’t want to learn your BnB’s over again…
Same here. I’m also used to using the L style for SNK fighting games.

Personally, I find that it feels more naturally. Outside of actually going to the arcades and playing on the cabinets =P

is the original MVS layout, so I suggest that, because you won’t have to relearn controls if you come across garou at arcade. It’s really however you want it to be.

is probably the most popular one, I don’t know why though.

so far I’m liking the SNK style a lot more.
Easier to use feints and break moves.
All that’s left now is getting use to doing QCFx2 motion on the arcade stick but i guess i just have to practice it more.

It may be time for me to sit down with this game again, and acutally learn to play it on stick so I can learn feint cancels and such.
