You know, I was messing around with the PS2 version of Garou awhile ago, and I couldn’t for my life do corner throw > p-power qcf, qcf+k super with Kain. I hit that shit every time in the arcade version, is this like a bug or something?
Hi guys, I know we didnt do much announcement on this thread, mainly because the most concerned knew it already, and because the US community is pretty far from France, but during this year’s Stunfest , which is one of the biggest fighting games tournament in Europe, we (the WeReWolves crew, follow us and other garou moderators on twitter @castofthewolves ) are running a Garou Tournament and we have invited Wata (best player), Tsubo (best Grant currently) and Kento (best Kain in activity with Charles’s Wain) to participate and meet with the french community.
The 3 players have arrived today and will stay in France for 2 weeks, be sure we will record tons of videos and pictures of the event.

Arcade layout is the square one, I know most players use this one since it’s also KOF’s
It’s a preference really. Similar to the button layouts used in KOFXIII. It’s either

That’s mainly for arcade layouts but on console you’ll probably see more variations depending on a players preference.
Ah, thanks, guys. If square is how they play at the arcade then that’s just sort of what I want go for. Been playing line as opposed to the block style, but then the thought struck me. It’s just so that if I happen across a cabinet, I want to have been playing based on that layout.
I’ve got more things to do than worry about layout though, like continuing to practice. Thanks again, Garou is a very fun game. Very different and awesome.
While I’ve never actually seen a Garou arcade, the old style Neo Geo cabinets were arranged like

I believe only the newer cabinets gave you a choice of the other arrangement since KoF is typically set up on standardized cabinets with a six-button layout. Is that also what Garou is set up on these days?
Depends on the cab really. I know some Japanese cabs have the option to let you switch from box layout to the L layout. While others are deticated to one layout.
Is Burn Knuckle safe at certain ranges? Had a few sets and sometimes I could punish it far, sometimes I couldn’t but I’m sure the range wasn’t consistent. Was using Rock at the time.
Yes it’s safe at certain ranges with Terry. Same goes for Rock’s elbow.
Who are the best zoning characters in this game? I know Kain is good, but anyone else?
I would say Dong Hwan is pretty good at it (mostly because of his aerial game). Hotaru too.
Butt has a solid zoning game as well even though he’s a more rush down like character.
Damn, I used to play this shit on Kailera way back then. I used to use Jae, Gato and Terry. I miss doing feint cancel pressure strings. 
Don’t forget just defends too!! That shit is way too godlike.
I would stick with Kain for the really have zoning. I feel he is best at it compared to everyone else. But then again, i do enjoy getting in peeps face with him too.
I’m in the lobby practically 24/7 if anyone is interested in playing some games.
And if I’m not in there, I’m in the LB2 room. Always want to play-
