Help me understand something here about the TOP system… Wouldn’t it always be best to have it set at the front so that you start the match with the damage boost and extra moves? Or is there something I’m missing here about where to set it.
I downloaded the trial of this game and all I can say is that I wouldn’t consider this an actual fighting game.
I read your post and all I can say is that I wouldn’t consider it an actual contribution.
as if your post contributed any more, but hey have fun with babies first fighting game.
Toddle’s STFU and play ur fraud ass game!
Hehe, 2011’ers thinking their opinions mean something. It’s kinda cute.
Perks of first: You always have it in a neutral position; not after being hit into it, so you’ll have it for a longer period of time. You also regain health all of the way back to 100%, so if you’re playing hard core runaway, they have no choice but to move in.
Downside of first: You dont get game pause when TOP gets activated. TOP activation causes the game to pause for a few frames, which ends up causing the opponent’s combo to drop way often.
Trolling has no frontiers and no time limits…
Kidou: the T.O.P=in moment also allows you to make bigger guard damage and build your meter a little bit faster. The position depends more on your fighting style and on the matchups. If you play one character with good and reliable damage/pressing meterless (let’s say Kevin for blatant purpose), you would put your T.O.P at the beginning.
If you have tendancy to be more cautious and fail from time to time, you’d better put it in the middle cause you will spend most time of the game around the middle of your life bar, and you will tend to have your super bar full at this time so your openings will be rewarded. Also, the matchup might have to be considered: if you’re facing a very agressive/efficient enemy, here again Kevin or Jenet or Grant (whose will probably play with T.O.P first), and if you play with the T.O.P on first and get hit once/twice, you will never have your T.O.P again to help you counter attack.
If you are good at psychological come backs, or tend to stick your opponent life bar to yours, put it in the end, but else i dont really see the point of doing it.
PS: thanks for the clever intervention Toodles; you know, my stick works so good in part because of you, and now you say nice things about my favorite game, so you’re kinda my hero o
No problem.
u guys fall for trolls too easy, stay free old timers…
I totally forgot to post this here yesterday but me and Giby ended up streaming some Garou MOTW yesterday here: http://www.twitch.tv/jaimedl. There was a sound issue so it’s hard to hear us over the game majority of the time. That will be fixed next time. Enjoy.
Coming from a 3s background how should i go about approaching this game? Im trying to get into kof 13. But ive heard garou is played different than that
3S and MOTW are pretty similar in certain things. :snka: + :snkb: in MOTW are like UHO in 3S. Backdashes are used in both games but they are a lot better in MOTW, invincibility wise. All supers in the game are :qcf:x2 motion like 3S. Parry and JD are similar but JDs are easier overall compared to parry. KOFXIII and MOTW are totally different games. The only thing that might be similar is the different jumps and running but that’s about it. Easiest character to pick up is Grant but people hate fighting him. People believe he’s the child of Ken and Chun Li from 3S. If you want to learn the feint cancel system Terry is a good starting character. Overall he’s very solid in the right hands.
Learned hit hard at my expense ^^
Sup guys. My monthly session is happening this Friday night (1/20). If anyone is around the Philly, PA area and wants to come by and play/chill, hit me up for the details. Otherwise, I should actually be streaming this time (as opposed to the last two months…)

ggs to Osam earlier on GGPO, your Khushnood / Marco, Dong Hwan, Terry, and Grant are all very solid, i was blown up many, many times, lol.
i have to step it up so i can JD / GC on reaction / anticipation more often and not get owned by guard break strings. i also need to learn a great deal more matchup specifics, i think ( i also have a bad habit of trying to stick out meaties on wakeup and getting hit by stuff like Khushnood DP break xx rape )
Philly area session… my place… this Friday night (2/10). Hit me up if you want to come by. I should be streaming too if you can’t come by.
Who’s going to be at Final Round?
Giby will probably be going. I wont be able to make it cause of work.
