& regarding that match, accidental crossups are what got me I think. i’m holding down back, which then becomes down forward, then i swing to what’d now down back(thinking it’s down forward), realizing i err’d, and swing back. two df’=1 dp -_-.
I think respecting neutral is key to preventing this, or link combos(except w/ c.mk)
edit: some1 do a training mode run through to check if any of his frame data properties have changed

I guess we cd say their usernames and give a rough indication of ranking on CP board (it changes often tho) in here (or the proposed “rufus army, the xbl replay thread”). I’ve seen some good japanese rufii and learned some stuff about the cammy match-up

Does anyone know any good vids that illustrate how to effectively deal with Claw? He just invincibly backflips his way out of any rushdown, and I just can’t seem to deal with the eventual spamming of crossup Flying Barcelona Attack & Izuna Drops. If I can corner him, sometimes I can pull out a win by keeping him pinned against the wall with snake strikes, but overall this match is frustrating as hell for me, and I feel like I’m missing some key maneuver…

I’ve played that shindmmkay guy a few times in championship mode. he beat me down pretty bad. god damn I hate being on the recieving end of a rufus rushdown.
jcerwinske, if vega keeps backflipping like a maniac just walk forward and throw him as he recovers. if he’s spamming crossup walldives a nice thing to try is focus absorbing the hit, dash cancelling in his direction and throwing / doing whatever you like. it shouldn’t be that hard to just hit him with a fp snake strike or a jumping roundhouse on reaction, though. just watch out for his wacky superman move.

That Abel completely had my number. I didn’t know wheel kick wrecked Rufus so hard on jumps. The Cammy match I feel is much better, I definitely need to get more comfortable using Galactic Tornado in general and specifically on the end of my strings.
