I like many here prefer to game on my PS3 and when people ask me why I have a plethora of reaosns, one being that you can use virtually ANY microphone and yet 90% of the time it’s a “gangsta” on the other end or (and this is more depressing) dead silence, WHAT IS THIS THE WII!? people get a decent mic and use it in game, it’s fun I promise.

i thought only bluetooth headsets worked on the ps3? im planning on picking up a headset soon since i would like to chat with some of the folks i play with.
Chat is okay for co-op games where it could provide a tangible advantage.
Past that - it tends to be a lot of random, ignorant, often racist blathering. At least that has been my experience. I can do without it.
You can get a non-Bluetooth headset for about $25 or so from Best Buy - but it will take up one of your USB ports.
Exactly. I’m all for talking trash during a match but the racist ignorant BS gets annoying.
Honestly, it’s like the other guy said: have a BT for co-op games would be extremely helpful. But for fighting games, it’s the opposite. There are sometimes were you get into a room, everybody has a mike, and they are either talking strategies, or having a intellectual conversation. But 98% of the time it’s someone bitching or complaining about how someone is playing, or trying to be cool by using colorful words and namecalling which is just downright dumb.
Yeah, but I’ve really only had 1 of those guys and I’ve met like 10 awesome people and besides that silence so you’d see whyI find that annoying.
